1 | Church attendance not required | Bible general Archive 1 | sandre | 29144
I am mostly homebound so do not get to church ofen at all. Can't I still consider myself a Christian without the actual church attendance? So many places it says believe in Jesus and believe that he died for our sins and you will be saved. This seems to go back to the arguement about whether faith or works contribute to salvation. In my mind, its faith. Maybe this is too simplistic, but its what I believe. |

2 | Can all be saved? | 1 Cor 5:5 | sandre | 28382
1 Co 5:5 says "I have decided to deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of his flesh, so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus" my question was more about whether someone who has been delivered to Hell is truly condemned. This verse makes it sound like one's time in Hell is temporary and that eventually the spirit is saved. Whether this refers only to those who have accepted Jesus or to all is not clear in this passage, but it does offer hope at least. i like the distinction between flesh and spirit. |
