1 | "Once Saved Always Saved" | NT general Archive 1 | rocwalker1 | 26932
Hi, Iwas wondering if you had found any more insight that would change your position on this subject. Respectfully I submit, one who is truly saved (regenerated) and not just converted to the ideals of being a Christian cannot go back into the world. An eternal purpose for your life begins the moment you are saved and nothing can hinder God from fulfilling that purpose. If one should wander to far it would be no surpirse for God to take that person home. Also to loose your salvation means the Holy Spirit would have to leave then come back, then leave then come back at what ever whim the person has. God does not work that way. Thanks
2 | Does Mark 6:3 indicate a question..... | Mark 6:3 | rocwalker1 | 26897
This is nothing more than a comment, such as what someone would say about me. Is this not the son of Ann? They just could not accept the fact Jesus is who He says He is. By rational thinking they were saying, Hey, this is Mary's boy, who does He think He is? We know His brothers and Sisiter, why that braggart.
3 | "Once Saved Always Saved" | NT general Archive 1 | rocwalker1 | 26159
I agree with you. Christ did not die to come and go out of our bodies, saving, then unsaving, saving, then unsaving over and over. It's a one time deal.
4 | "Once Saved Always Saved" | NT general Archive 1 | rocwalker1 | 26158
Respectfully disagree, When you are saved your dead spirit is regenerated-reborn-and united with the Holy Spirit with Christ indwelling the believer..God does not save and unsave people. Christs death was for past, present and future sin. Should He leave you because of a sin you commit, practically speaking you would fall over dead. The bible says we are already seated in heavenly places meaning your spirit-(life force)-has gone on and all that remains is your soul and the physical presence of the Holy Spirit(Christ) is your life. He remains here to mature your soul and to do His work through you. Paul said it is not I who live but Christ who lives in me. God's grace is not an event that changes a person but an all powerful force that makes changes in the spiritual realm and in us in reality. Salvation cannot be lost, God does not go back on His work.
5 | Do we continue to serve God, in heaven? | Matt 4:10 | rocwalker1 | 26155
Excellent question, I asked God about this one. When we look at the expanse of the universe and galaxies beyond our knowledge God has more for us than ever imagined. Heaven will not be located in one place where we sit in rocking chairs and sing all day. God is much bigger and has more for us than that. Did you ever look at the unfolding of the universe through the Hubbel telescope. The sights are awesome and show us how little out spot is. What could we do out there one day? It will not be as bond servants as someone said. No we are children, brothers and sister to Christ.
6 | Do you have a say in being adopted? | Eph 1:11 | rocwalker1 | 25741
Jepson is somewhat right and somewhat wrong, regeneration is not a change of our moral nature. Our moral nature is an insult to Christ. Regeneration is an actual rebirth of our spirit that is dead to God. It is an actual physical event in the spiritual realm.
7 | Satan can't read minds | Jeremiah | rocwalker1 | 24851
Many of you have missed the point. Satan is a created being and as such can only be in one place at one time. He is not everywhere at once. His angels are in a hierachy and are scattered throughout the world. There are levels of command. Satans extreme power in this world is sin. Sin is an action but also an entity that lives in the human flesh, yes read the book of Romans. Paul identifies sin as a noun and a verb. God called sin a "he" giving it personality. So No Satan does not read your mind. Sin does and Satan is in touch with the power of sin in you. Sin is the voice in you that you do not control and talks in first person pronouns, I, me , Mine, etc. If you are saved, sin (the entity) has no control over you unless you listen to it. Read Lifetime Guarantee by Bill Gilham for and experience in learning about Sin. |

8 | Correction: Heb 11:37 Who was sawed in t | Hebrews | rocwalker1 | 24847
The writer may not be referring to a specific person but to the history of persecution of God's faithful. One torture unto death was to saw a person in half and may be what he is referencing. Others during the biblical days included slow drowning, burning alive, just about any thing man could invent to torture someone. His point being it is possible to walk through these horrible events in faith and never give up on God even unto death. |

9 | Tribulation and rapture are we there now | NT general Archive 1 | rocwalker1 | 20464
All generations have some that believe we are in the end days. Actually the end days started with the return of Christ to heaven. So I guess you could say we live in the end days. God may decide to let this go on for 20,000 more years. It's His choice. During the world wars, the civil war and on back people preached it was the end. And no we are not in the beginning of the tribulation. What we are in is simply life as detemined by man and his actions. There should be no fear in the Christians about what is now and what is to come. God takes care of His own. We fear when our concerns are about the flesh and fail to realize it is a spiritual thing.
10 | "Once Saved Always Saved" | NT general Archive 1 | rocwalker1 | 20462
I once beleived that we could loose our salvation. Out of curosity I simply asked God to show me the truth. He did and now there is now doubt His work of salvation is forever. Too often we forget God also answers our questions, "Knock and the door will be opened".
11 | How do you get the Holy ghost? | NT general Archive 1 | rocwalker1 | 20457
We don't get the Holy Ghost. He comes to us at the moment of salvation and indwells us. What many call getting the Holy Ghost is the experience of the baptism of the Holy Ghost. It is known that this moment changes a person forever. Some claim it must be verified by speaking in tongues. I have found by my experience it was God's choice and not mine, I did not speak in tongues but ws filled with an awareness of His presence and total confidence in His grace and Lordship. I agree with Tozer when he says you must be sure this is what you want because your life will never be the same. For the sake of argument, "getting the Holy Ghost as an experience is immature, "getting the Holy Ghost" because of spiritual lonliness and desire for God reaps the reward. |
