3 | Good food do not curse :) | Matt 3:4 | resurrectioner | 23637
I think there is a prophetical purpose, why John ate locusts and wild honey.Locusts symbolizes curses and unbelief (Joel 2:25;Numbers 13:31-34).Wild honey represents the fear of the Lord (Psalms 19:9-10) and His Words and promises (Psalms 119:103).John introduced Jesus to the folk of Israel as a Lamb of God,who will take all curses away by carrying their sins and by leading them in a New Love Covenant between God and Israel. The prophets did symbolic works in Old Testament times.I think and believe in that John ate locusts and wild honey for the PROPHETICAL MESSAGE : " John's father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit, and he spoke God's message: 'Let us praise the Lord, the God of Israel! He has come to the help of his people and has set them free. He has provided for us a mighty Savior, a descendant of his servant David. He promised through his holy prophets long ago that he would save us from our enemies, from the power of all those who hate us. He said he would show mercy to our ancestors and remember his sacred covenant. With a solemn oath to our ancestor Abraham he promised to rescue us from our enemies and allow us to serve him without fear, so that we might be holy and righteous before him all the days of our life. 'You, my child, will be called a prophet of the Most High God. You will go ahead of the Lord to prepare his road for him, to tell his people that they will be saved by having their sins forgiven. Our God is merciful and tender. He will cause the bright dawn of salvation to rise on us and to shine from heaven on all those who live in the dark shadow of death, to guide our steps into the path of peace.' The child grew and developed in body and spirit. He lived in the desert until the day when he appeared publicly to the people of Israel."(Luke 1:67-80). |

7 | What does baptism consist? | 1 John 5:6 | resurrectioner | 23358
Shalom - God's peace Is baptism necessary in Salvation? Is it important and necessary to partake of the Communion? Is it necessary to listen the Gospel? Is it necessary to be in God's grace for eternal Salvation? Is it necessary to be in faith, which consists the reality of God's good work in crusifixion of His Son?I agree, that faith is necessary to a man to get God's justification because of His Son's blood.Without faith it is impossible to please the Holy God.But faith is by grace, too. It comes from listening and listening comes from Christ's Word."He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;but he that believeth not shall be damned."I believe, that I'll save by Jesus' blood, when I believe His crusifixion for me.I am connected to His Salvation by faith, which comes from Word. The Word became flesh. The Holy flesh is given to us in the cross of Jesus, and God is dealing the cleansing blood through the knowledge of the Word.I believe, that baptism -as the Holy Communion,too-is for those, who will get the Salvation by faith.AND the baptism truly consists the Holy blood of Jesus. The baptism in christianity is not the law.It is connected with eternal grace, because of the Holy blood. The whole knowledge of the Gospel benefits only those, who will receive Him by faith."He came unto his own,and his own received him not.But as many as received him,to them gave he power to become the sons of God,even to them that believe on his name:Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man,but of God." |

8 | What does baptism consist? | 1 John 5:6 | resurrectioner | 23275
God's eternal Salvation to you all I think that the baptism in water in Jesus' name or in the name of the Father, and the Son,and of the Holy Ghost consists the blood of Jesus.Martin Luther taught that the water of the baptism is from the Golgotha, where Jesus gave His blood and water from His side. The connection of salvation is for all who turn to God in repentance and will believe in Jesus' blood. The baptism in water means that you are asking for a good conscience from God by His Son Jesus. The blood of the Lamb will save all believers through baptism in Jesus. Am I right? |

9 | What will God to see? | Hos 13:14 | resurrectioner | 23248
Shalom Thank you Nolan and Searcher56 for your answers. The Lord's wrath is a quite good and biblical comment.Hosea 14 tells us how Israel will come to the Lord -Jesus is THE Lord.It is God's work to take away His wrath upon Israel and take Her in His abundant grace.Spiritual justification with Israel depends on true repentance and on the belief of the Lord. |

AMPLIFIED Hosea 13:14 Should I ransom them from the power of Sheol (the place of the dead)? Should I redeem them from death? O death, where are your plagues? O Sheol, where is your destruction? Relenting and compassion are hidden from My eyes. [I Cor. 15:55.] What does this last thought mean (Relenting and compassion are hidden from My eyes)? |
