1 | What about...? | Matt 19:5 | renedaelizabeth | 66499
We are not able to get married yet because of financial situations since we are both still in college. That is the only thing however that is keeping us from walking down the aisle. We have already committed ourselves totally to each other, and other than the peice of paper, are pretty much married in every other way.
2 | What about...? | Matt 19:5 | renedaelizabeth | 66424
But what happens when two people are at the level of commitment for marriage, but it is not possible at the moment to have the legal documents to say they ar emarried. Other than having that peice of paper though, those two people are in every way just as committed as two people who have the paper acknowledging all the legalities. What happens in this case? Does God frown on this?
3 | What constitutes marriage? | Matt 19:5 | renedaelizabeth | 66390
What really is marriage from the perspective of God? Is it simply the slip of paper that registers your new last name with the state that you live in? Or is it more than just a peic eof paper? Is it the commitment to one another that you are one in Christ, regardless of whether or not ther eis a paper on file in the county courthouse saying you got dressed up one day and changed your last name through a ten minute long symbolic ceremony? I really am hoping someone will be able to answer my question with some biblical refrences, because this is an issue that is really on my heart.
