1 | sharing our faith to unbelievers so hard | 1 Cor 1:18 | loispntr | 199390 | ||
I agree that we sometimes make this harder for ourselves than it has to be. I think that we sometimes feel uncomfortable because we wonder if we are knowledgable enough to share our faith when we may need to, or want to, include scripture. We also may be afraid that we will not be accepted by others, especially in the work place. Personally, I have experienced all of this. Now,I find that I am making comments in my conversations that are just coming out naturally, and I believe this is because of all the amazing and wonderful things that God has done for my husband and I in the past 2 1/2 years. While it has been more forth coming with believers, I find myself making comments to others in my conversations. When I realize it, I try to not hinder it. Sometimes, I mentally ask the Lord to help me while it is happening. This has led me to pray and ask for the ability to speak to others in ways to bring glory to God, because the things that He has blessed us with have been easier to bring up in conversation. I know that this is a "stepping stone" for me. Ask for a "stepping stone" and see what God gives. Who knows? It just might be something that God gives you that you just can't wait to share. He has done it for me. Philippians 4:6 "Do not be anxious about anything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God". Proverbs 22:19-21 Suggested Prayer: Jesus stand beside me. Guide me and direct my life. Teach me what I need to know. Help me with my work (and words). Let me serve you and others. That I may be worthy of God's grace. |
