4 | When did Joseph die? | NT general | liezonis | 210302
There was NO mention of Joseph's death but it is implied that he was dead at the end of Jesus' earthly ministry since his name was dropped out of the narrative.:::liezonis
5 | do we have authority to forgive sins ? | Mark 16:17 | liezonis | 210301
Glena and BradK, Technically speaking, we DO HAVE the authority to forgive sins. In the Lords prayer Jesus said, "This is how you should pray: and FORGIVE US OUR SINS just as WE FORGIVE those who sin against us. In other Bibles translations SIN is rendered as DEBT. When asked by Peter how many times should we forgive Jesus said: seventy times seven. In these verses, it is clear that we are not just told that we CAN but ARE also ENCOURAGED by our Lord Jesus to FORGIVE. Although we can forgive SOME sins, specifically ONLY those sins done against us,we cannot forgive the sins of those who did not sin against us. Only God, the JUDGE of MANKIND, has the POWER to forgive ALL SINS. in Christ, liezonis |
