Ephesians 4,4-5 NKJV- There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism. My question is, one body, many members, and one Spirit, many fruits of that Spirit and one Lord, Farther, Son and Holy Spirit. one faith, a fruit of the Holy Spirit, one baptism? The Word of God speaks of water and Spirit. In 1 John 4,8 And these that bear witness on earth, the Spirit, the water, and the blood: and there three agree as one. Why can't there be more in one? To God be the Glory

Hello, I pray this helps. Sometimes after people are baptized with water they still have a yearning in themselfs for more. There is more. If you will look in Mark 1-8 John says "I indeed baptized you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit." And in Acts 1-5 Jesus is talking and says "for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now." There are two batisims in the bible. One of water and the other of the Spirit, which according to John6-63, Jesus says "The Words that I speak to you are spirit and they are life." To God be the Glory forever. leather48

Hello, I read your question and for an answer please look in Acts 2-14 and they were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues as the spirit gave them utterance. Acts 4,29-31 Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your Word, by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus. And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken, and they were filled with the Holy Spirit and the spoke the word of God with boldness Acts 10,45-46 And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also. For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God. I pray that these verses help you understand what Simon saw. God Bless |

11 | To be saved must we be baptised? | Acts 2:38 | leather48 | 76458
Hello, to your question on baptizeism. The Word is very informitive. In John 1-33,34 John the baptist said I did not know Him, but He who sent me to bapitze with water said to me. Upon whom you see the Spirit descending and remaining on Him, This is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God. Then in John 3-5 Jesus said Most assuredly, I say to you, Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. There is two baptisms, one of water and one of the Spirit. In John 6-63 Jesus says the Words that I speak to you they are Spirit and they are life. In Rev. 19-13 It is written, And His mane is the Word of God. If you are baptized with water that is ok, but the Word is also the most important. May God give you enlightenment and cause you to seach His Words that are your life. leather48 |
