3 do sinners go directly to hell at death Luke 16:22 kwhale53 194149
I don't know exactly where this place is, but here's a definition:

1) name Hades or Pluto, the god of the lower regions

2) Orcus, the nether world, the realm of the dead

3) later use of this word: the grave, death, hell

In Biblical Greek it is associated with Orcus, the infernal regions, a dark and dismal place in the very depths of the earth, the common receptacle of disembodied spirits. Usually Hades is just the abode of the wicked, Luk 16:23, Rev 20:13, 14; a very uncomfortable place. (TDNT)

The above definition is from the Blue Letter Bible, which you may Google.

And I certainly do not want either myself or anyone I love to go there. It is not a nice place by any means.

Also, Matthew Henry's Commentary has a wonderful exposition on this at the following site: www.ccel.org
4 What does this mean for us today? Mark 6:8 kwhale53 194147
  Thank you, Steve!

So, in today's culture, how might a disciple of Jesus live?
5 How does the above relate to serving Rom 1:1 kwhale53 194132
I apologize, ceebee for taking so long to answer!
I was answering the question immediately above my post. As far as serving, all Christians are repentant sinners, and all may serve, given repentance as the key. Does this help? God forgets confessed sin (Psalm 103:12, 1 John 1:9), so how might a believer not serve in Christ's church, His body?

And what do you mean by "knowledge of the sin"? Is this knowledge by other church members? Or?

8 adultry and fornication same as homosexu Rom 1:1 kwhale53 189836
In 1 Corinthians 6:15-20 the Lord speaks of a Christian being joined to the Lord and being one spirit with Him, so that if such a believer joins himself to a prostitute, he becomes one body with her. Paul asks the question, "Shall I then take away the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute?" and answers his question with "May it never be!" The same principle applies to the act of fornication or adultery. However, I think the Bible teaches that the sin of homosexuality involves a deeper corrupting influence, as in Romans 1 where Scripture says three times that "God gave them over" to a worsening depravity in verses 24, 26, and 28. And this defiling process began with a simple refusal to "honor Him as God or give thanks" (v.21). But let's not forget as well that Jesus teaches us the real problem lies in our hearts, where adultery arises from along with other evil abiding within. Matthew 5:27-29
