That still doesn't seem to help, I understand the fact that it is a confussing matter, I myself struggle with this question yet have a confident understanding of the Word of God. How do you practically blasphem the Holy Spirit. I understand that deny the works of the Holy Spirit, and therefore His work within us is a sin and if this remains the case until death then we have never received Christ and therefore cannot be saved. But I'm not sure that that is all it is. They gave the leaders of the nation insight into Gods will and purpose. When wisdom was needed, guidance, correction, or when God wanted to speak a prophet would be used. In some senses Moses could be regarded as a prophet as he delivered Gods spoken word to the congregation and gave Gods wisdom and direction. Also Prophets were used to bring a message of repentance and correction to the nation when they were in a place of sin and disobidiance toward God and His laws. In summing up for your question. The prophets brought Gods concil to the kings. And in some times correction. |
