3 | Wisdom vs Wisdom | Not Specified | jr8 | 121732
Wisdom vs Wisdom I have read the book of Proverbs and found it to be very interesting and motivating in seeking wisdom, working hard, etc. Then I started to study Ecclesiastes and the first 3 chapters have me confused. It seems wisdom and are hard labor is in vain and meaningless. Is the Wisdom of Proverbs different wisdom then that of Ecclesiastes ? How and any thoughts for me as I study this book. May God bless all |

5 | spending and saving money | Matthew | jr8 | 119522
Hello Money is mentioned noumourous times in the Bible because it is one of our biggest down falls. We tend to worship the dollar more so then Jesus Christ. By serveing money and putting money before all things, sometimes even family. I do believe God wanted us to use money in a wise way. Saving is wise. Investing in the right investments is wise. So as long as it doesn't interfere with our service to God. We were blessed with our money from God. We should be good stewards of all God has given us. Spending money can be a sin depending upon what we spend it on or how much we spend on certian things.See Mathew 25, 14 thru 30. Also Matthew 25:29 |

7 | is masterbation wrong | Matt 5:28 | jr8 | 118184
Hello Personal satifactions is not always a sin. I believe it becomes a sin when lust enters into your mind and your life. If masturbation causes you to do other things, that are sins, such as adultrey, lust, etc... then it itself becomes a sin. If you masturabte but feel you shouldn't be, or feel guilty about it, then I would take a close look at why you are doing it. Most of the time guilt feelings or disturbed concience is a sign we have done somthing wrong. The most important thing is to confess that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins. Believe this in your heart and ask for forgiveness of all sins. Then you want need to masturabate for God will supply all of your needs. |

8 | Psalm 22 Revisited......... | 1 Chronicles | jr8 | 115980
I may be wrong here, if so straighten me out. The vs you are reffering to is a psalms of David. Not Son of David. If this is correct then God didn't turn his back on Jesus. I maybe wrong but you're question caused curosity, thanks, and I began to study this. 1 Chronicles 17 God told Nathan 4 "Go and tell my servant David, This is what the LORD says: 11 When your days are over and you go to be with your fathers, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, one of your own sons, and I will establish his kingdom. 12 He is the one who will build a house for me, and I will establish his throne forever. 13 I will be his father, and he will be my son. I will never take my love away from him, as I took it away from your predecessor. 14 I will set him over my house and my kingdom forever his throne will be established forever. " |

9 | Who is responsible for killing Jesus? | Luke 24:26 | jr8 | 115423
Just a few verses from the NLT that might help you with the anwser. May God bless 1 Corinthians 15:3 I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me--that Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said. Galatians 1:4 He died for our sins, just as God our Father planned, in order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live. Hebrews 9:28 so also Christ died only once as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again but not to deal with our sins again. This time he will bring salvation to all those who are eagerly waiting for him. 1 Peter 3:18 Christ also suffered when he died for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners that he might bring us safely home to God. He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the Spirit.[3:18 Or [spirit.] ] |

10 | looking for scripture | Rom 12:1 | jr8 | 114821
Thanks Renovate Me. I may have not explained it well. Yes she is a Christain. Claims to be very happy in our home. Its not like these ladies are bar hopping or anything. YET. So far just dinner and casual conversation. Which I am okay with, with married Christian friends. These women are single, but decent single women. Is this were I say OK I trust my wife [knowing the differnt life a single women lives and how the lifestyles are different]? Or stand my ground and not allow this type of relationship on a regular basis? |

Looking for scripture but first of all thanks to all who have awnsered my previus questions, in the past. Ecspecially Emmaus with a post on question ID 108884. I read his reply on almost daily basis and it made alot of difference. May God bless those on this board who give good counsel from Gods word. Now another question I find my self dealing with today. MY wife, good at heart and attends church, is now "needing some time for herself, girls night" out on a regular basis. Not bar hoping but dinner or a movie. I have no quam with this but the girls, other then our daughter, our all single and non church attenders. My wife is faithfull today and I trust her but isn't this a path to danger. Is there any scripture I can show her to help me combat this. Or am I just be to cautious or jealous. I don't mean to air out my laundry, its just last time I got good adivse here, thought....okay lets see. |

16 | Why does God not want yeast? | John | jr8 | 110120

17 | How do we tithe properly? | NT general Archive 1 | jr8 | 109845
Tithing is mentioned in the New Testament. Matthew 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. I questioned if Tithes could be used for helping those in need. I believe tithing is important but if I read the above scripture correctly it is not one of the "the weightier matters" [most important]". I believe judgment, mercy, and faith are more important to God. We must help others, somtimes financially, which is serving God. We should also help our church to be financially secure. If you are true in your faith, lean on your heart. It will not stir you wrong when it comes to giving for the glory of God. |

18 | How to love others as commanded | 1 John 3:11 | jr8 | 108910
Emmaus..Thank you for your reply..You must have been given these words by God. They attacked my very problem as though I had told you what was going on in my life and mind. I have seen what you are saying, threw my studies, but somtimes certian things have to be pounded in my head. I will make this reply apart of my daily reading as a reminder. Thanks so much
19 | How to love others as commanded | Not Specified | jr8 | 108852
Being a believer for years. I have recently began a SERIOUS effort to study the bible and follow God. I have repented of sins and believe God is the only way to eternal life. I now know he requires us to love and serve others. How does a selfish man, of 40 years, learn to give of himself? And love total strangers. Is this a working process or should that automatcally be in my heart now that I am a follower. It is hard to change a 40 years of ways all at once. Though I believe God can do it. But like a growing child, is there a learning stage we go threw with this. May God Bless and thanks |
