3 | JdthCstl, Scripture for "By our deeds". | Gen 6:4 | joyous | 43831
I do not know of any verse that specifically says "by your deeds." I think some have come to be confused with the faith verses works idea in reading James. James has been said to contradict Eph 2:8-9 because he says things like "What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him?" (James 2:14, NIV). But I think what James is refering to here is exemplifying our faith in our actions. For example if one says that he/she has faith that it's God's will for him/her to speak on His behalf to a particular person. However, when the opportunity presents itself it is not taken advantage of, then that person is merely stating that they have faith in that, as oppose to truly having faith.
