Thanks John. I have been a Christian for a some time but now I am pausing and pondering about the basis of my faith. I've always heard the explanation of the redemption plan and its connection with the sacrificial system without examining the origins of it. I really want to know why I believe what I believe within the limitations of my finite mind. I am aware that I will not find all the answers to every possible question that arises in my mind. However, this time around I will try to do some of the homework myself and not just hear the same preachers repeat the same over and over without me analyzing it and even better to be able to explain it to others. I appreciate those links you provided me with. I will read them. I will sure follow your advice about not questioning God about the way He operates and apprehend whatever I cannot comprehend. Thanks for the welcome by the way |

4 | Main principle behind sacrifices? | Gen 3:21 | johnramz | 214734
So, it means that in principle sins leads to death either way, the sinner itself or an intermediary. Right? Does God explain anywhere in the Bible why he chose this method(spilling of blood) or why it is the only method? Also, I have noticed that it is also a way to express gratitude for God's provision. For example when Cain and Abel brought their offering. Is that explained also somewhere else?. Thanks for your time and thank you for being sensitive to my search for answers.

Thanks, now let's delve deeper into it. Redemption means "buy back" . In the first 3 chapters deal with Creation, fall of man and consequences. God clothed them, so an animal was sacrificed for them to cover their nakedness. How is that explaining the sacrificial system
7 | Main principle behind sacrifices? | Not Specified | johnramz | 214680
I am starting to read Leviticus and this question came to me more about the Bible in general. I see a common thread about blood sacrifices and burnt offerings in exchange for the forgiveness of sins and even gratitude. What is the principle behind God requiring blood sacrifices to the point of even sacrificing his Son Jesus order to forgive or be pleased? For my own benefit and to explain it to others I would like to grasp it as clear as possible

10 | Would God destroy the world again? | Gen 8:21 | johnramz | 214617
Does this verse mean that there will never be another mass destruction again? Is not this verse contradicting 2 Peter 3:10 where it says that everything will be destroyed?
