1 | need information on galatians Chapter 6 | Heb 3:12 | isa26 | 209360
The only passage I found in the KJV about the falling away is found in 2 Thessalonians 2:3, which is talking, I believe, about the end times. 1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. |

2 | Should Women Wear Hats? | 1 Cor 11:4 | isa26 | 209354
7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. 12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. I John 4:7-12 Please let us all remember this |

4 | Prayer and verses to help hopelessness | Mark 2:17 | isa26 | 209162
Thank you for your encouraging words. Since my question was removed I thought that I had inadvertantly broke one of the rules of this forum. I am keeping a close eye on her and am taking her to church with me. She has spoken with my pastor on a couple of occasions. She is reading the Bible somewhat and I am encouraging her to memorize scripture. I must admit that I want to do more but I know that is my flesh telling me to fix a problem that probably only God can fix. Thank you again for the scripture and the encouragement |

5 | Prayer and verses to help hopelessness | Not Specified | isa26 | 209083
I don't know if this is a question or just a request for prayer. I have a sister that has been seeing a psychiatrist for several years. He has her taking several different medications for depression and anxity. Recently she has been going through a really rough patch and her psychiatrist just increases her meds. She is saved and has started going to church with me because she does realize that she needs something else. My concern is that he keeps raising her depression meds and she has told me that she is having stronger and stronger suicidal thoughts. I have advised her to talk to her psychiatrist to get off or at least cut back on the depression meds as I know they will cause these thoughts. I spend several hours a week with her and I encourage her to read her Bible. She has deep feelings of unworthiness and feelings of hopelessness. Can you give me any verses that I can give her that might help her fight this battle of the mind that she is in with satan? |

7 | is it ok to lie in certain cases | Col 3:9 | isa26 | 208042
Walkfor christ I have been reading the various post and have found them to be interesting. I was taught from childhood not to lie and that lying is a sin. I still believe that. I noticed that it was mentioned abut plan A and there was no plan B. My belief is that God KNOWS what is going to happen and sometimes He does use our sin to bring about His will. That is not to say that that is His first desire but He can use anything to do what He knows is best. Yes, the midwives lied to save Moses but who are we to say that was God's only way of doing it? Maybe God had a plan B. That doesn't mean that it was not a sin to lie. I am not trying to say that I would not do the same thing, I'm flesh and a sinner. I do things daily that I am ashamed of but God does forgive me and maybe He can use my desire to do right and turn it around for good. I hope I did't offend anyone, this is the way I look at what was being said. God bless isa26 |

8 | 1 Corintians 14:34 | 1 Tim 2:11 | isa26 | 207344
There are many verses in the Bible that speaks about women and their roles in and out of the Church. The bottom line, as I see it, is that women need to honour their "head" ie. husband, father, pastor. Everyone has authority figures - boss, husband, police, government, etc. We need to acknowledge and submit to that authority and the same goes in the church. If we, as women, have questions, first ask our husband then if he doesn't know the answer, go to our pastor or possibly a deacon. I hope this answers your question without confusion. isa26 |

It has been taught to me that a cubit was the length of the arm from the finger tips to the elbow or approx 18 inches.
10 | chest of god? | Bible general Archive 4 | isa26 | 202727
I don't see any reference to the "chest of God" there but it is talking about the ark, which was brought out of the temple to the battlefield with the belief that it would swing the battle their way enabling them to win. Hope this answers your question God bless |

12 | only one in a thousand wife's is good | Luke 18:19 | isa26 | 202553
Note: I think the vs you are looking for is Ecc 7:28. 25I applied mine heart to know, and to search, and to seek out wisdom, and the reason of things, and to know the wickedness of folly, even of foolishness and madness: 26And I find more bitter than death the woman, whose heart is snares and nets, and her hands as bands: whoso pleaseth God shall escape from her; but the sinner shall be taken by her. 27Behold, this have I found, saith the preacher, counting one by one, to find out the account: 28Which yet my soul seeketh, but I find not: one man among a thousand have I found; but a woman among all those have I not found. |

14 | Should the Bible be free? | Prov 23:23 | isa26 | 202538
In a perfect world the Word of God would never be sold but unfortunatly we do not live in a perfect world. We are told in Prov 23:23 not to sell the truth and God's Word is the truth. As long as it does not compromise the Bible we are under the law of the land. So to smuggle Bibles into other countries that do not allow the Bible is not wrong. Since the KVJ is public domain we should use that instead of violating the copyright laws of others. As to whether they would be justified in any legal proceedings, yes legally they would but morally I personally don't feel like they should because we shouldn't take another brouther to court. I hope this answers some of your questions isa26 |
