5 | Dinah unloved too? | Gen 34:17 | imforgiven | 160963
Where does the bible state Leah was not pleased with her? I would have thought the only girl may have been the darling of the family, doted on and aptly defended by all her brothers.

10 | How to resist "back to slavery" tempts? | Hos 8:3 | imforgiven | 124243
Confession: Satan has long squashed me with fear and doubt. I have come to believe more than "God forgives", but His Son died to cover my sin, thus I can forgive myself. I have begun to minister to people who share my past. I've given the evil one power with self-talk: what if people really knew me?? Now, as I'm gathering my faith and courage, the enemy attacks. It's daily aggravations, and even his felt presence in my sleep. When I share my story, how do I give glory to God - not Satan -but affirm his work is real? Cowering back to slavery is an option - stepping out is HARD. I need prayer and advice of believers...
11 | Was God reluctant to send Jesus? | Luke 24:26 | imforgiven | 115263
I agree about responding to the movie by reading scriptures. The Word penetrated my heart even more after the movie! I got into Isaiah, chapters 43-53. Since then, I've been grappling with the fall and Jesus rescuing us. I read an article which made me wonder. It said, "the greatest act of love is when you do things for God even when you don't feel like it. God did not want to send Jesus to die for our sins, but He loved us so much, he was willing." Yes, I believe God loves us with sacrificial love. Yes, I know Jesus struggled in the garden. But can anyone support/refute God's reluctance to send Jesus?
12 | Why not hide the tree before the fall? | Gen 3:3 | imforgiven | 114268
Hmm, never thought about that...
13 | Why not hide the tree before the fall? | Gen 3:3 | imforgiven | 114267
Sorry about the vague question. I struggle to put into concise words what I'm pondering in my head. Thanks for trying. I'm thinking about how you said He wouldn't hide the tree, but then He hid them all? Sorry again, I don't know what updating a profile means? I've never been on such a posting tool before.
14 | Why not hide the tree before the fall? | Gen 3:3 | imforgiven | 114035
I'm still thinking about this. At first, I accepted your response. But now, I'm wondering about the tree of life. Verse 24 says God banished Adam and Eve from the garden, and guarded the tree of life with cherubim and flaming sword. He is not hiding eternal life from us by hiding that tree. Think about it. Let me know your thoughts. |

15 | why lead us to stumble? | Gen 3:3 | imforgiven | 112082
Ahh, yes - thank God that this verse came to mind. I'm encouraged. This is my first time on this site - very much a place for growth!
16 | why lead us to stumble? | Gen 3:3 | imforgiven | 112060
Thank you so much for sharing from your heart and your walk, for helping me. Freedom is something I stopped questioning for years, yet here I am again. Our freedom in the U.S. is so overblown - our waywardness breaks my heart, how much more His? I rejoice that my sinful past is redeemed, that now I can help others in the path of the same sin. But why must they be tempted, why must the sin exist, why must the need for my ministry exist? It's madness. The tree seems to have been designed to cause us to stumble. Why would God do what we're warned not to (1 Cor 10:32)?
17 | why put the tree in middle of garden | Gen 3:3 | imforgiven | 111926
Why did God put the forbidden tree smack in the middle of the garden? Why not in a corner, behind thistles and thorns? Analogy: if I go to a party - best way to increase likihood of interaction is to be inviting, to be in the middle of the room. To shut myself off, I can go to a corner or behind large obstacles. Why did God tempt us so well?
