1 | A pretty much quick question | Bible general Archive 4 | holydiver | 199834
I think thats pretty stright forward. Though i dont believe that graphics games show those images. I believe they are the products of imagination or at least i dont know of any that do use biblical things. If someone were try, they would have to find a athority to regulate it, and i dont think your going to find a true witness of the 144000 god placed in time.
2 | Bride and Guests at Lamb's Wedding | Revelation | holydiver | 199792
When a son became old enough to be married or the father thought it was time, they called upon a matchmaker, who would find a girl ready for marrige. Gen 21:21, Judg 14:3, 1 same 18:17. The girl chosen by the matchmaker lived at home, her family knowing she was a virgin, so they could find her a husband when the time came. The girl worked for her mother and father, and was refered to as a maiden. Once the betrothal was agreed upon between the familys, the couple were already married in the eyes of the people. There were no religious rites performed. There was normally a festval held by the family and freinds to celebrate the betrothal, in which the bride and groom were not required to go. Then there was a wedding feast for the two familys in which the bride and groom were required to go, and after to consummate their marrige. Gen 29:27, Judg 14:10. The girls where kept by the family to make sure they would stay virgins, because it was hard to get a match if they were not, the men did not except them. Example was Joseph and Marry. |

That would fall under proper use, for which God made it for. It may be also that of consent falling under marrige, and in that case may be neutral not good or bad. But in some states its illeagal, and in that case the bible says to obey the laws of man. That God allows certain things, unless mankind changes it.

5 | gentiles claim to be of the 144000 wit. | John 8:24 | holydiver | 199764
In Acts 10:9 peter is shown that the gentiles are included with the Jews. As the example shows, the gentiles are given the holy spirit, and that was unheard of becuase baptism came before praying for the holy spirit. So they had no choice but to baptise them being shown by God. Its said that the 144000 are those that died in service for the church, but could be that there just were not enough true witneses through time.

The bride, is a church. The other brides go out to get oil for their lamps, but are found not ready when the bride groom comes. Sorry forgot where thats at. Also first corinthians tells of the gifts of the spirit, and their patterns, and to what ends those gifts are used for, while second corinthians tell of the effects of the spirit. In second Corinthians 3, it goes to say about being transformed by glory of God, and in which transformation is also conversion. I think that goes better with the revelations scripture too. In other words, no one will know which church unless if shown to them through the spirit. Many are called but few are chosen? Which is the same as being invited, and personally invited. As stated in second corinthians about blame because of what was written, the personal side giving the right example wasnt there, but with the personal example the invitation was given by those with the spirit, knowing those who were called by God. holydiver |
