What does Indubitably mean? Do you have Convictions that someone else doesnt? So whose to say God doesnt convict Women to preach. personally i havent found any proof that God doesnt call women To preach.im glad to hear(read) you say "Our fidelity to God should not depend on the face representing God" i was under the impretion that you had thought the face was more important than the message. Gods sevant |

2 | angel i missed your point | 1 Tim 2:12 | gods servant | 123705
i wasnt thinking about the battle i thought that "SHE held court under the Palm of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim, and THE ISRAELITES CAME TO HER TO HAVE THEIR DISPUTES DECIDED." judges 4:5 means that deborah was "ruling/judging" isreal instead of a male, because if god would rather have a male leading his people wouldnt judges 4:4 say it was a male instead of deborah? "Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, WAS LEADING Israel at that time." and if you read before that it doesnt say she lead because a male was scared to, like Barak was scared going in to battle? |

Yes Gods sevant would be better, sorry, is there a way to change that or is it to late? I only used the saying the best tool for the job because it was something i had been taught in regards to working on cars that sayed what i couldnt explain in different terms not Because God was refered to us as tools. as for where i get my ideas from this issue i gave my scripture based ideas in a note in response to Angel's note. Some may be tainted by my own personal opinions and opinions of others as well as by things ive experienced, for instance when i was growing up my church had 2 retired pasters in the congregation but when the pastor was at pastor retereats or whatever he would often aask my mom to preach and everybody was happy with her preaching even the 2 retired pastors were content to learn from my mom who could go into more detail about women in preaching/teaching positions better than i can. Visa versa was a spelling mistake, im not the best speller

sorry i had thought your note sounded angry so i assumed that you had misinterpreted what i had said. i Dont think that there is anywhere in the bible that says "he chooses the best tool for the job" but if you look at saul/paul he lived his life killing christians, so by turning him in to a missionary it gave him more in dont know the correct word but people knew who he was and then seeing the change was an amazing testemony to the power of christ. And then with gideon who was least umong his family and his tribe was least among isreal but yet god used him and 300 others to destroy an army, had he used someone who was high in the sights of people that person would have probably accepted the glory for winning the battle where as gideon gave glory to god. |

6 | Biblical - women preachers/teachers??? | 1 Tim 2:12 | gods servant | 123623
hey Angel "And to sugest that the Bible reflected the prejudice of the writers or of the Jewish culture would be to say that the Bible has been manipulated by man and thus not God's Word:" I wasnt saying that man influenced God. Im just saying that "he chooses the best tool for the job" and in those times because of cultural ideals men were the best tools. Today they are not nessecarily the best suited for the Job. Just as you could reach some people i couldnt and Visa versa there are some people neither of us could reach and a woman would be best suited for the Job |

Angel Judges 4 After Ehud died, the Israelites once again did evil in the eyes of the LORD . 2 So the LORD sold them into the hands of Jabin, a king of Canaan, who reigned in Hazor. The commander of his army was Sisera, who lived in Harosheth Haggoyim. 3 Because he had nine hundred iron chariots and had cruelly oppressed the Israelites for twenty years, they cried to the LORD for help. 4 Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, was leading [1] Israel at that time. 5 She held court under the Palm of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim, and the Israelites came to her to have their disputes decided. I dont understand where youre coming from. deborah Was in charge before Barak said hed only fight if she'd come with him |

9 | Zsuzsi, which Scripture don't YOU keep? | 1 Tim 2:12 | gods servant | 123595

10 | Biblical - women preachers/teachers??? | 1 Tim 2:12 | gods servant | 123594
one thing that Zsuzsi said kinda bugged me yes Eve was Decieved, and maybe women are easier to decieve (i disagree) But adam was offered and he willingly accepted and was also the first to pass the blame. I beleive the only reason timothy was against women preachers was because in those times they would have had less authority because men considered themselves above women not because they are more easily decieved.
11 | Zsuzsi, which Scripture don't YOU keep? | 1 Tim 2:12 | gods servant | 123593
2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. keep it all. yeah its hard to live according to gods will its the narrow path. GOD will give you strength dont try to do it by your own strength accept gods help. I had a hard time (still do) with letting god change me i wanted to be Christ like with out Jesus's help but its so much easier to take his outsretched hand hes waiting for you. dont be afraid to let him Carry you he carries me all the time. |

God Calls women to ministry He called deborah to lead isreal in the book of judges(sorry I dont know exactly Where) we are all equal in Gods sight any taboo's about female preachers are of man. Always look to God, any answer you recieve here look up in the Bible some people may be decieved into beleiving that god doesnt want female's in ministry. Be careful not to get sucked into traditions Christ-ianity is about What Christ wants not about what man thinks is right.
