Hi Trudi, Hear my two cents for what its worth, I was deceived by the same kind of fringe arguments. Until some good people on this site pointed that out to me, so going forward I won’t let these questions interfere with my faith. I don’t know much about evolution but I read that scientists say they need evolution to understand science or for their research or something along those lines. If there was a smoking gun in science that undeniably proved that God existed, then Christianity would no longer be a Religion about Faith. I don’t believe that the universe and other things have happened by accident. I believe there is another life when this life is over and that why I believe. I don’t know why or when God enacted the laws that scientists discovered and are calling evolution or if evolution is the final answer for scientists. I read some scientists are questioning evolution. I also read that some Christians have harmonized evolution with the Bible. In conclusion I would like to say if there wasn’t a little doubt about God in the world then Religion wouldn’t be about Faith and we enter Heaven untested. |

2 | Deceived or not? | Not Specified | frii | 203229 | ||
How do Christians know they’re not being deceived? I look at different web sites and when they give different answers to the same question I’m puzzled who is right. Try googling, Days of Proclamation, Gap Theory, Day-age Theory they believe the Earth is old. Then google Literal Interpretation of Genesis One they believe the Earth is young. So I ask a local Church that was online that I was thinking about going too, and ask them about how they thought Genesis One I got the response that say they didn’t care what I believe they welcome all comers. Then there is the question is there a Rapture or isn’t their one. I know I’m new and just scratching the surface of all the differences that could be out there about Christianity. How will I know I’m following Jesus and build a strong foundation in the Bible? Are there any books I can read to answer this? |
