1 | Scriptural Support? | Rev 12:9 | forwwjd | 159955
I think I answered what I believe. I also have given scriptural references. Notice also that I have written in the first person. My position is that that Jesus was born of a virgin (Mat 1:18 - 24), died for my sins (Romans 6:9-11), was buried (Luke 23:53 -56), decended into hell (Eph 4:9), and on the third day He arose (Luke 24). Jesus sits on the right hand of God (Acts 2:30 - 36, Eph 1:20) and makes intecession for me(Heb 7:24-26, Romans 8:34). And that I have the blessed hope of the resurrection (Romans 6:5,1 Cor 15; 12, 1 Peter 1:3, ) which is the Good News of the Gospel. So which part of this statement is not in line with the belief in the deity of Christ, which you noted in your previous post? |

2 | Apostles' Creed support the deity? | Matt 1:23 | forwwjd | 159838
Hank, Doc asked me what my position on the deity of Jesus was. I responded with scriptural support based on the Apostles' Creed. He responded that I did not believe in the deity of Christ. Therefore, I wanted to clarify the position that the Apostles'Creed supports the deity of Christ. I believe in the Apostles' Creed which is scriptually supported and therefore the deity of Jesus. Is this not the position of the forum as well? forwwjd |

5 | Scriptural Support? | Rev 12:9 | forwwjd | 159825
You ask a question and then feel offended when I do not answer you according to what you want to hear. Do you know that arguing is less important than showing the Love of Jesus. I never implied that theologians or apologetist could not be Lovers of Jesus, but if you look at some great "Christian founded" Universities like Duke University, you can tell that they are trapped in religious arguements rather than preaching the gospel. So should we stop, this pointless thread and go back to studying the scriptures. Speaking the Truth in Love forwwjd |

6 | Scriptural Support? | Rev 12:9 | forwwjd | 159816
What does it matter if the person is a Russellist? If the person is, then would it not be better to show them in the scriptures the answer to there questions? Or is there no scripture that can be shared in love to present the truth of the gospel. If they are not sincere in the seeking after the truth through the scriptures is present is it necessary to find out what there theology is so that you can attack. I wish there were less theologians and apologist and more Lovers Of Jesus. In Christ forwwjd |

7 | Scriptural Support? | Rev 12:9 | forwwjd | 159815
If you read your response in context, you basically judged that the person is a Russellist aka Jeovah Witness. Whereas if you were interested in knowning the persons position you would have worded your question better. I figure you are a very learned man and can ask the question in a non-judgemental way - if you choose. Therefore, the whole messy thread below your response is due to your question. If you were complying, you would not be trying to ask divisive questions. 9 | Samuel against change of judges to king | 1 Samuel | forwwjd | 158879
The simple answer is that Samuel was feeling rejection. However, God answers Samuel that he is not being rejected, but that they are rejecting God. 6 But when they said, "Give us a king to lead us," this displeased Samuel; so he prayed to the LORD. 7 And the LORD told him: "Listen to all that the people are saying to you; it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their king. 8 As they have done from the day I brought them up out of Egypt until this day, forsaking me and serving other gods, so they are doing to you. 9 Now listen to them; but warn them solemnly and let them know what the king who will reign over them will do." forwwjd |
