1 | In Heaven will we know each other as now | 1 Cor 13:12 | followerof christ | 184802
In Luke 16:19- Jesus tells the story of a certain rich man and a beggar named Lazarus. The rich man being in hell tormented and in need of water still tries to bully Lazarus into serving him, which shows after death he hasn't changed much at that point. He also recognizes Abraham a man he most likely would not have know during his life. So I submit this for your thought that this passage shows us that (although these men had not been in heaven) they were still familiar to each other. Their physical attributes had not changed so much they were beyond being known to each other. Lazarus was no longer poorly dressed and hungry, and the rich man no longer wore purple, their positions changed but Lazarus knew who spoke to him and the rich man still wanted to be served. Also, after Jesus returned and appeared to Thomas, He said to touch the wounds on His hands so although they were not bloody sores they were still there and the only time He was not recognized was when He blinded the eyes of the people. So from these examples I would conclude that in Heaven we shall have a few less wrinkles and the extra pounds will be gone, those things that were broken will be restored but we will not physically be so different from here. In Genesis God the Father said Let us make man in our image, He made us to look like Him. Later He says Before the foundations of the world were framed I had a plan for you a plan for good not evil and plan to bless you. That being true why would He change you in Heaven when He already made you to look like Him? He already made you who He wants you to be. Spring is about to begin and soon buds will be on the trees, when you look out the window consider this so far science has proven there are 7 million different shades of colors our eyes can detect even though our brains don't over load because of the multitude of them. Our Holy Father made color because He loves us so much that 1 wasn't enough. Before the earth, before time, before everything we know He created you so that He could love you and be loved by you. Why would He want to change you now? |

2 | Jesus getting the keys to hell | Rev 1:18 | followerof christ | 184779
Ye men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by Him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: Whom God has raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that He should be holden of it. For David speaketh concerning Him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for He is on my right hand, that I should not be moved: Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope: Because thou will not leave my soul in hell, neither will thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance. Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriach David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, He would raise up Christ to sit on His throne; He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ' that His soul was not left in hell' neither His flesh did see corruption. This Jesus hath God raised up whereof we all are witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, He hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, until I make thy foes thy footstool. therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
