1 | Thank you all ! | Revelation | farout | 96420
Godman: You have good observation. I too believe that many Christians think this is all as Scripture predicts what the end times will be. There should be some note that tells people that THIS BOOK IS LARGELY FICTION WITH SNIPPETS OF SCRIPTURE. Then we might not have so many believing that this reading is as good as God's Word. Blessings and peace. justme |

6 | Is it wrong to use condoms? advise | Bible general Archive 1 | farout | 47316
Dear Effie: After reading you question, I too learned how to use the QUICK SEARCH, and I have used the forum for about a year. So it is never to late to learn something. After reading the QUICK SEARCH answer on condoms, which was quite good, I would like to add something for think tank. My wife and I have been married for almost thirty four years. We have had three daughters ages 15, 22, 32, and one son age 28. Our last daughter was born when my wife was 37, and I was 42. Our children are rather spaced out. I jokingly say it took me that long to recover between each one. I was there for the last three in the delivery room. Except our second had some complecations amd I was asked to step outside. However for the last two I was ther when the first sign of their had showed. I will treasure those times forever. I also will say if I were a woman I would never get pregnant! Birth is painful and how women do it is amazing to me. Over the years we used the IUD in ignorance, the pill for a very short time, and the Spounge for several years, and finally birth control foam. We used that for many years. But it must be used correctly and consistantly. However that applys to any method. Condoms have a high failure rate for many reasons, and they are costly. Some couples feel that condoms interfer with a certian closeness. All birth control interfers with fertilization, and prevents implantation of the zigoat. For us we felt surgical birth control for either of was not right. For us that so interfered with the chance that God might have something else in His will, that we might interfer with. For us it was our last daughter, she has been a blessing beyond words. I will be 62, when she turns 20. I have been mistaken for her grandpa a couple of times and we have taken care of that instantly. That has been the fun humoris times. She keeps us young ond on the go. She is an aunt to a nice three years younger than she. Many places in the world have only the most prinative methods of birth control, at high failure rates. I would assume in Mary and Joseph life after Jesus they too had to deal with this issue as well. I am convienced that the Lord does supply if we are people of faith. I am equally sure that what ever you and your husband decide to do, should be a matter of viewing your health. I think it is unhealthy for you to have a baby one right after the other. Perhaps even dangerous, and deffinately is a health risk. Where would you husband be if you passed on, with three small children? There is a natural birth control based on the time of ovulation, and checking mucus. I do not know a lot about it but there is a group of women that have these books in any large book store. Not only that but a trip for both of you to your OBGYN Doctor with you husband, might be a good place to get all the current information. I do know Depo Povara is something my work at the Crisis Pregnancy Center found caused long lasting problems. I admire your courage to ask your question. I have tried to be open obout our sexual love life, and hope this will not only help you but others as well. Love your children, and never neglect the love between you and your husband, that love should be first, so the family will stay intact as God intended. God Bless you and your family. Peace, farout |

8 | Need Advice... to change Church to be a | Bible general Archive 1 | farout | 47303
Dear Grace7044: You do not say what it is that you are unhappy about. Why did you start going there in the first place? What led you to believe this was where God wanted you to be back at the first? I would say if there is unsound doctrine or unbiblical teaching, then by all means leave, but tell the pastor why you are leaving. Perhaps it is because there is no one in your age group and you feel out of place. Again I would make sure the pastor knew why you want to look for greener pastures. I would leave with kindness and love, so nothing hampers your guidence in finding the Lords Place for you. Maybe you are being valled to see a need at the church you now attend? Pray about it, and then act. Peace, farout |

13 | Anti Christ? Is America Babylon or Iraq? | Daniel | farout | 47181
Dear Debby: May I suggest you go to www:eguip.org and look up what information is there on Rev. John Hagee. Please note that John Hagee, and CLOUD MINISTRIES produced two of the movies from Rev. Tim Laheyes books. The inreresting of how it worked for "free" tickets to see LEFT BEHIND. Tickets were in the VCR Tape, given out when you bought the VCR Movie LEFT BEHIND. That free ticket allowed one to see a slightly different LEFT BEHIND, that was made to be in the local theater. The money making deal was to get other christian to front the money to get LEFT BEHIND shown in the theaters. This was suppose to make money for the christians who paid to rent the theater to show the movie version. To make an eleborate scheme short, christians were "LEFT BEHIND" holding the bag with a lot of free tickets that came in the VCR version. The renting of the theater seldom equaled the receipts paid by ticket buying viewers. Does that sound like something you would have wanted to be a part of? I mean no slams at you in any way. I have seem my elderly parents taken, by what seemed real planned out christian endovers that were to win souls for Jesus. When in reality they fattened the Reverends's store house, and not much else. I think that with less than ten percent of all christians reading the Bible, on a regular basis, books like LEFT BEHIND and the rest of this many volume set, it is a disgrace to think Rev. Leheye has it all planned out. John Hagee as well, has some issues that you need to read for yourself. I believe many in the pew gobble up what the preacher says with out ever proof texting what was said. I only bring up this because this scare the hell out of people to win them to Jesus is so wrong. The Bible says that you can not love if you are filled with fear. I again say I am not picking on you, I just would like you to "look beyond the bun" sorta speaking. Peace, farout. |

15 | Anti Christ? Is America Babylon or Iraq? | Daniel | farout | 47112
According to "Tim Laheye"? Friend, if it were not for the book of Revelation brother "Tim" would have to find a job. Have you seen how many books he has put out in rapid fire, after LEFT BEHIND? I was a a book store last week and just the last bunch of books he wrote must be about ten, maybe. Lets see at about 20. a pop, that not to shabby a money a making deal for brother TIM, is it. I am really glad he has invested his time and talents. After all we need all his volumes to help us explain the book of Revelation in fine detail to us, Right? I personally don't think so! I can't believe The Reverend Tim Leheye know so much in detail, as to the latter times. If believers would spend as much time reading the book of Revelation as they do reading Leheyes material they might really be blessed as the book promises. What do you think? Do you suppose September 11, 2001 had anything to do with Tim Leheyes books? Some people are opportunist and a wise person does no believe everything thats in print by other christians. Read the Bible and decide for your self. Peace, farout |

16 | Are women allowed to be pastors? | Bible general Archive 1 | farout | 46809
There are many women Pastors today. Women Pastors have a long history in our country, from the early ehghteen hundreds. I have never been in a church with a woman as pastor. I have a bias that is hard for me to justify. I feel uncomfortable with the idea of having a woman as my pastor. For me I have seem some feminist agenda with women who were in seminary studing to be a pastor. From my view some of the women leaned to excepting a more liberal theology, supporting liberal issues. I do not see homosexuality, N.O.W. as acceptable from a biblical standpoint. I am not saying all women were or are like that. I am just not real sure I would fit in with a church that had a woman pastor. I would if the church had a husband and wife as co-pastors. Perhaps I would go if she were an assistant pastor. I will say I do not believe in men counseling women, or women counseling men. This has crushed many of pastors and marriages. At all costs we need to prevent any hint of wrong doing, and protect each other. I hope this helps. Peace, farout |

17 | after death, right then, what? | Not Specified | farout | 46799
I am questioning my view of death. For most of my life I have been taught that upon my death I would be in heaven. However I recently heard a speaker say that we stay in a state of waiting to be raised when Christ returns. I can read where sleep is refered to as death. When it says in the N.T. concerning those who have fallen asleep. I feel rather ignorant, because I have studied this, and felt I had the answer. Now, I am not so sure. I would like some feed back, as this is sorta bugging me. Thanks for your input. Peace, farout |

20 | is masterbation a sin explain thxs | Bible general Archive 1 | farout | 46797
Dear Tecnotrog, and Turkish: Your question and answer are truely amazing. First, do everyone a favor fill out your personal profile. Then we would know if we are dealing with a person who genuinely wants a real honest answer. In turn Tecnotrog, are you for real? Were did you study human sexuality? What verse of scripture did you take out of contex to come up with such a false uneducated answer? Do you honestly believe that a person male or female needs to fantasise and think about having sex with someone inorder to pleasure ones self? If you do, them YOU have a problem! What do you think the reason our bodies grow to the point that sexual gratification is possible? You mean only married persons are to enjoy sexual pleasure, while awake? I would say any male who by the age of 16 or so, who say they have never pleasured themselves, that they were not being honest. God gave this means of relief and pleasure to all humans, this is the healthy truth. I am not refering to being involved with paper picture sex, or anything of the sort. But Even Paul said to learn to control your vessel, or body. If a man or woman has not learned how to pleasure thenselves, and control their sexuality, then it will be a rough road in life. Married or unmarried, God has made us so what ever state we are in, we can still enjoy this gift of pleasure. I am not saying to take this to excess, but there is a healthy sexuality that is not a sin. Because people have taught that self pleasure is a sin, we have some people thinking sex is dirty and sinful. Did not God create you? Why did he give you the ability to have pleasure? If he did not intend it for your good, then tell me why. If you mean that only married persons can enjoy sexual pleasure, then you are in denial of the way life really is. I have given a direct honest answer to both of you. I only hope you have the integrity, and wisdom to face your humanity, that God made. I believed that for too long christians put their head in the sand and pretended that sex was easier to call sin, rather than face the facts as life really is. Perhaps if our sexuality were dealt with in a pure christian way, the world would jnotice that christians are different. Many christians have a baby on the way before they get married. The percentage of pregnant bride is the same as non-christians. What does that say? Have men and women learned self control? If not then why not? Think on this. Peace, farout |
