In Luke 21:34 why was the last clause changed in the NASB 95 to read "and that day will NOT come on you suddenly like a trap" (emphasis mine); the earlier version of the NASB does not include this negation. None of the other common translations include this negation either. I checked an interlinear based on Nestle Aland and "not" isn't in that manuscript. Was there another manuscript source which formed the basis for this change? It seems to contradict the point of the passage, that is, to be on guard at all times because that day WILL come suddenly like a trap. | ||||||
