How about Moses? He started out trying to do things his own way, angrily killed an egyptian, fled to Midian and tended sheep for most of his life (Exodus 2). Since he died at 120 (Deut 34:7) and wandered in the wilderness for 40 years(Num 14:33), he must have waited close to 80 years before the Lord revealed what He wanted Moses to do. The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.(Lam 3:25 KJV) |
