1 | Post-flood genetic pool | Gen 9:19 | dbpete | 7679 | ||
Often it is thought that the post-flood gene pool was only from Noah. However, each son had his wife with him on the ark. Therefore, there three other families represented on the ark. If you include Noah and his wife, there were five unique ancestries represented. The significant differences in races today are not from Noah but are probably from the families of his son's wives. It is not possible to know how depleted the geneitic information was by the time of Noah. Adam would have had a complete set of genetic information. The representation of five families could have significantly restored the missing elements of Noah's line. It is interesting to think that since Eve was made from Adam her genetic information would have been the same as his. |
