1 | Is God beyond time as we know it? | Rev 21:6 | cldickjr | 214405
Beyond time. . .; God, our Father, lives in the midst of us similar to the explanation that He gave as the incarnate (human) self after His resurrection, when he "appeared in the midst of them" at the upper room. Being Omnipresent, means that Our creator is always in the past, the future, and the present simultaneously. In I Cor when it is said that we will be "caught up" with Him in the Heavens and we will be like Him; it is saying that we will become a part of that "other demension, or world" that exists invisibly to us today. That one where Peter describes where principalities and powers - wickedness dwells battle, or torment, or until that time as when we are blessed with human demensions "like Him" and be able to see and touch and feel and communication physically with Him as we once did in the garden. Regarding the question of time, before the creation of the earth and we people, or "eternity past", time was not measured as it is for today; again eternity is not bound by the same standard of measurement. Right now, while we are bound by earthly limits of time, space, and matter, time is limited to govern the physical confines that we are restricted to; when we are reunited with Christ/our Creator, we will receive our "glorified" body and will no longer be restricted to time as it is now. This is referred to as "eternity future". Scripturally, the bible has described that moment as "in a twinkling of an eye" (1/10th of a second). At that moment of transformation into eternity, "hours will seem like moments, and the awareness of time as we perceive it today will cease to exist. SOUNDS EXCITING!!!
