It is highly probable that there is as much or more diversity of form in the spiritual realm as there is in the physical.
2 | Please explain the following verses... | Rom 1:27 | camainc | 5698
I agree that we are ALL sinners, saved by grace. My point was in the classification of a person as a "homosexual", as if they have no choice in the matter, that they were created that way. And I don't think Mary was still a "whore" after she repented and changed her way of living. Was a Paul a murderer after he was called on the road to Damascus? Was Peter a traitor after he turned and repented? Was Mark a coward his whole life? I think the answer is no. We should not be labeled by our sinful acts. If we continue in the same sin after repenting, then we need to question whether or not we really have a new nature, or if our confession was just a mental acknowledgement. I say this in light of I John 3:6-10 and other passages. I mean no disrespect to anyone, in fact I think we do disrespect to ourselves and others by labeling each other, as if we can never change. Hope this clarifies what I was trying to say. Chuck |

Thanks for the thoughtful response. I'll take some time to read it more thoroughly, then respond. I think we are in general agreement on most points, however. Chuck |

5 | Please explain the following verses... | Rom 1:27 | camainc | 5617
Please explain the following verses in light of your previous post: Lev 20:13 Lev 20:15 I Cor 6:9 I Tim 1:10 Jude 1:7 I agree, and Scripture is plain on this, that every believer who is single should live a chaste life, free from sexual immorality. I disagree that a "person is homosexual". Homosexuality is an act of rebellion against God, not a state of being. I think the homosexual lobby has done a very good job of convincing people that "being homosexual" is equal to being heterosexual. Homosexuality is an act of sin, and like all sin it is a perversion of the good, the right, the true. The true way of mankind's sexuality is one man with one woman for life. Homosexuality is a perversion of that truth. By the way, my brother-in-law, who really loved the Lord, was at one time in his life totally caught up in homosexual practices. He was able to break free from the addiction, though he still struggled with temptation from time to time. He went home to be with the Lord four years ago. As to whether or not a person who is practicing rebellion against God should be ordained - I think the answer is fairly obvious, is it not? Should anyone participating in open rebellion against God be ordained? I think not. Chuck |

I think the logic behind the question is this: Since (1) mankind is born in sin (Rom 3:10, 23) and (2) those that do not believe in and accept the free gift of salvation offered by the Father through the Son are destined to perish in the lake of fire, and (3) believers’ names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life from the foundation (I assume this means the creation) of the world, then one could presume that (4) unbelievers are destined for the Lake of Fire from the foundation of the world (Rev 20:15). There is no verse that I know of that *explicitly* says that, but there are also no verses that *explicitly* say that God is triune. If one accepts the doctrine of predestination (and I don't know how you couldn't, with all of the verses that are very clear-cut on that), then you have to accept predestination to hell as well as to heaven. How we reconcile predestination with John 3:16 is a mystery, and I don't think any of us will know how God in His infinite wisdom and grace works out the details of free-will vs. predestination (at least until we get into His Presence in our glorified state).
