1 | What flavor is your vapor?! James 4:14 | 2 Tim 4:2 | angelinwaiting | 190902
Surfin4Jesus, you have prepared a good sermon and in reading it, I discovered grammar in it that needs a little polishing. Feel free to ignore them if you like but being raised in not only the Word but by very displined parents I feel I must speak out on the grammar. Good grammar holds attention so much better. After you begin "And the story goes: The first paragraph: "not only can they let everyone know that IS (should be ARE) and a little further on it says "seem to be the best news EVERY, (maybe be misspelled but should read EVER). 2nd paragraph: Please forgive me but I have never heard the term nay sayer and maybe a lot of people haven't so could you use a simpler term in conveying your message? 3rd paragraph: To be grammatically correct, it should be in the second sentence; While facing the dangers and hardships that await them in his new position, they will be faced with....Not two different sentences, the comma encourages you to continue without stopping your sentence. Following within the same sentence, it should read "glorious victories over their foes"... And in the last sentence of the the same paragraph I think it would be better delivered as "comrades ALTHOUGH others will surely laugh and scoff... Finally in the last paragraph the last sentence should begin Will YOU take countless others with you.... It is a good sermon and good luck with delivering your message. And if there is any members of the congregation that this applies to, then I pray they see it as truth and react to it. God Bless You!! |

2 | Bad things, Good People. Prov 4:10 | Prov 4:10 | angelinwaiting | 190899
Hello NewBeliver, Welcome to the flock of Jesus Christ! I think what you asked was a good question. I have gathered from all I have read in God's Word many things on your question and your statement in quoting Proverbs. I can not address exactly what bad things have happened to the good people you speak of, but rest assured if there are bad things happening to good people, they are receiving what God has seen fit according to HIS will. Sometime it is a spiriutal spanking, most times for me, it is to draw us back to HIM. We live in a world filled with worldly things and we are not to be caught up in them and yet, sometime we are; therefore, GOD must make HIS presence known again to us and we should let HIM take over and guide us again. With God All things are possible and He never said it would always be what we consider good for us. Only HE knows what is good for us and how to achieve it. I don't know exactly where but The Word does say: "Honor thy Father and Mother so your days will be long upon the Earth." Since this is one of our Ten Commandments to live by it only makes sense we do them all and believe in all of them. We can look at the scriptures and learn from them in following His Word in every word He gave us. When what we deem bad happens to others that are good, HE does indeed have a plan and sometimes it is done in reaching someone outside the realm of what is happening. They see it and they wonder HOW did this happen and then they see the results of it by the trust and belief in GOD to take care of it. Remember this, God uses sinners too for HIS good! I hope this helps you find the answer you seek. Yours In Christ! |

3 | Will we recognize loved ones in Heaven | Rev 7:9 | angelinwaiting | 190691
Thanks Azure, I totally agree with this post; seeing our loved ones concerns all here on Earth and although we are curious whether we will be able to, I know GOD Himself will be our focus when we get there. Thanks again for the specific scriptures that addresses this.
4 | Will we recognize loved ones in Heaven | Rev 7:9 | angelinwaiting | 190524
Doesn't it make perfect sense in Matthew 22:22-35 that although we have spouses and will recognize them in Heaven that NO ONE will be like they were here on Earth and only Jesus will be our focus?
5 | Pure joy in Heaven? | Rev 21:4 | angelinwaiting | 190523
Truly speaking from the heart, I really don't believe if one of our loved ones is not in Heaven that we will ever be aware we even knew them. How could there only be pure joy in Heaven if any of us were aware one of our loved ones was cast into the lake of fire?
