Hi, I am brand new to this post, infact to posting in general. Maybe I am out of line, but making a parody of God's Word? I don't understand your concept or your belief, is this not the inerrant word of God? Just in case I am wrong, here is the definition of parody: A literary or artistic work that imitates the characteristic style of an author or a work for comic effect or ridicule. The genre of literature comprising such works. Something so bad as to be equivalent to intentional mockery; a travesty. And here are just a few scriptures for the eternally secure: 2Peter 2:15-22;Hebrews 6:4-6(fallaway?); Hebrews 3:6-14(departing, hold fast until the end?). I have many more about holding the faith until the end.Salvation is not a parody, it is serious. allenp109@myway.com |

Huron, I believe there is only one way the Bible speaks of what we must do to be saved. After Peter had stood up and spoke to the multitude in the book of Acts Men came to Peter and asked "what must we do?" I believe salvation is an action to be taken on our part. Here is the scripture I am referencing, and believe this explains what it takes to be saved. Hope this helps. Act 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. |
