1 | is jesus god? | Gen 1:1 | Wigglesworth | 35983
Yes He is. In Titus 2:13 it says "looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ." In Isaiah 41:4 God talking to Isaiah says "...I, the Lord am the first; And with the Last I am He." Well JesuS says virtuelly the same thing in Revelation 1:8. In Luke 5:17-21 Jesus is found forgiving a man of his sins and then healing him. In v21 it says "....who can forgive sins but God alone. Many other places in the Bible prove that Jesus was God.
2 | WHO are the "sons of God"? | Gen 6:4 | Wigglesworth | 35088
In Job 1:6 it says, "Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and satan came also among them." Satan was a fellen angel. Also the hebrew word for God here is the word "elohym", same word used in Gen 6:4 for God. The reason, I believe they did this, was to corrupt the true race of Adam so they could stop "the seed of woman" in Gen 3 from crushing satans head, as God said He would.
3 | Does faith require maintenance? | NT general Archive 1 | Wigglesworth | 34976
I am sorry that I have not replied to you, all this is new to me. The Forum that is. But I would like to agree with you on the fact that He can operate in and through us as long as long as we co-operate with Him. The Holy Spirit is a gentleman and will not force Himself on anyone. The statement that he cannot be resisted is taken from Acts 6:10. Stephen was preaching and doing great signs and wonders and the people could not denie what he was saying was true and the Holy Spirit was convicting them. However, when Stephen defended himself just one chapter over in Acts 7:54 it says "When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth." No one would believe and they stoned him. But in Acts 2 Peter preached at Pentacost and it says in v37 "Now when they heard this they were pricked, (cut), in there heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the Apostles, Men and bretheren, what shall we do? They all got saved. Now, God has a perfect will and a permisive will. Psalm 106:13-15 says "They soon foregot His works; they waited not for His councel: But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted God in the desert. And He gave them their request; but sent leanness into their soul." The Holy Spirit will convict me of sin and give me a chance to repent but He will not make me. No one can resist His convicting power. In His service. Wigglesworth |

4 | Son of Abraham, David, Joseph? | John 7:46 | Wigglesworth | 34953
Jesus was as much man as though He were not God, but, at the very same time He was as much God as though He were not a man. One hundred percent man and one hundred percent God at the same time.
5 | Jesus went to Hell before Resurrection? | Matt 12:40 | Wigglesworth | 34952
In Psalm 16:10 it gives a prophecy concerning Jesus. To prove this in the New Testament, Peter preached on the day of pentacost and speaking of Jesus quotes this Psalm. Acts 2:25-28. This clearly says that Jesus went into Hell.
6 | WHO are the "sons of God"? | Gen 6:4 | Wigglesworth | 34949
I personally believe that they are fallen angels.
7 | Miram got leprasy but Aaron didnt? | Rom 9:15 | Wigglesworth | 34947
Aaron was protected by the office of high priest that he held. But, in "Numbers 20:22-29" God told Moses to strip Aaron of His priest garment and put it on his son. As soon as he did that Aaron droped dead. Judgment was waiting for Him the whole time.
8 | Does faith require maintenance? | NT general Archive 1 | Wigglesworth | 34893
In Eph 2:10 it says that we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works. The key here is good works. James 2:17 says faith without works is dead. This means faith is not somthing that we can produce on our own. Faith is one of the manifestations of the fruit of the Spirit in Gal 5. And in John 15 Jesus said that He is the vine and that we were the branches, and a branch cannot bear fruit of itself except it abide in the vine. So, the vine produces the fruit we just bear it. So just abide in Christ, He is our source. Do not seek after the resource. Just walk with His Spirit, and talk with Him, and fellowship with Him and don't resist Him. Remember, Christ is our righteousness in I Cor 1:30. And we have been made righteousness of God in Him, (II Cor 5:21)
