Mark, Very compelling - I mean that. What grabbed me was the "escape all these things", if there is an option to escape these things (rev) then it it gives the other things you state credibility, or moreso viabililty. I shall revisit this, - well done. Cheers tim |

MAy be its a Pat answer but all I have to offer; I read that we are to endure some troubled time, the last trumpet is toward the end, and much has taken place that is not nice. Personally; I think that it is a bit elitist, or at the least niave to think that we would escape any trial. biblically from what I read, the Bible supports this view. Until someone can refute the chronology of the last trumpet, (1 Corinthians 15:52)and the book of revelation it is very compelling that we are here to endure some or all of the hardship. If we are to consider Biblical example; This will be time that non Christians need us here for them, as we needed Christ, and he certainly endured for us, so we shoudl for our brothers and sisters. |

Hi all, Our group is currently studying 1Tim, last night we looked at Chapters 5. Whilst discussing the section of looking after family and relatives, I was prompted to think about another reference which today, I cannot not find even after using search engines; Is there a reference or verse in the New Testament to the following, (the words are something along the line of): "...If you need something do not ask your brother, instead ask a stranger.." I am sure this is in the NT somewhere. Any help appreciated |
