I would like to add an attachment to the question. In the book of Job, satan is in God's presence, discussing derisisively Job's fate, yet seemingly in some favor of God enough to have a calm discussion throughout. Where in scripture does it tell us that satan and his host tried to usurp God's Omnipotence? (the reason we are TOLD that satan and his host were cast out of Heaven). I read once that the passages are actually in the Apocrypha works, and not part of the Cannonized books. Does anybody know where these passages of satan's mutiny are actually to be located?
2 | Was Adam there at that moment? | Gen 3:6 | Theo | 27991
If Adam was present, I doubt if the outcome would have been different. Originally Adam and Eve were innocents who knew no sin. Since they had no concept of sin, Adam would have been as gullible to the words of the serpent as Eve was. Besides, if you have ever gone shopping with your wife or your girlfriend, when the sales people latch on it usually does not matter if you are there or not!! An interesting footnote to this is that later in the New Testament we are instructed to be "as wise as serpents and as innocent as doves"; a blend for the better of both worlds. Peace.
