And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; (2 Thessalonians 1:7-9) |

2 | The Tri-Universe | Rom 1:20 | TL56 | 174811
An amazing revelation of modern science is the fact that the physical universe is a tri-universe just like the Godhead. All true Christians believe in the doctrine of the Trinity: God is one God manifest in 3 divine persons-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The fact is that the universe itself manifests the same triune chacter that the Bible attributes to God. In a real way, "the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead" (Rom 1:20). His "Godhead" is understood by "the things that are made" having been "clearly seen" from the creation of the world. The doctrine of the Trinity appears indirectly yet perfectly naturally as the Lord Jesus speaks of Humself, the Father, and the Holy Spirit. The logical order presented is: (1) God the Father-the unseen source and cause of all things, (2) God the Son-who tangibly reveals the Father, and (3) God the Holy Spirit-who reveals the Son to men, especially thru the holy Scriptures. These relationships are beautifully patterned in the physical universe. Everything in the universe can be understood as functioning as a continuum of space, matter, and time. Space is the invisible, omnipresent background of all things, manifesting itself in phenomena of matter and/or energy, which are then interpreted and experienced thru time. Note that to calculate the amount of given space, one does not add the 3 dimensions, but multiplies them. Analogously, the mathmatics of the divine Trinity is not 1 plus 1 plus 1 equals 1 but rather 1 x 1 x 1 equals 1. This same remarkable triune phenomenon can be seen in the realm of human life as well. The Bible says we are made in the image of God (Gen 1:26) and thus we are made up of body (physical), soul (man's nature), and spirit (personality). This three-in-one character seems to pervade everything. Every maral action consists of the motive, the act, and the consequence. Everything that happens proceeds from the cause to the event to its effect. Similarly all forms of thought or reaso proceed logically from the universal to the particular to the relationship of the particular thing to other things. Altho these remarkable facts cannot be held to prove that the Creator is a Triune Beinng, it is difficult to conceive of any other cause that could account for such effects. If the universe is intelligible and the principle of cause and effect really is valid, then there is certainly overwhelming reason to believe in the Triune God of the Bible. The doctrine of the Trinity is not a logical absurdity. but a scientific living reality. God was manifested and revealed in His Son, who as a man was Jesus the Christ. |

3 | necessity for women to cover head | 1 Cor 11:5 | TL56 | 174762
With her head uncovered - That is, with the veil removed which she usually wore. It would seem from this that the women removed their veils, and wore their hair disheveled, when they pretended to be under the influence of divine inspiration. This was the case with the pagan priestesses; and in so doing, the Christian women imitated them. On this account, if on no other, Paul declares the impropriety of this conduct. It was, besides, a custom among ancient females, and one that was strictly enjoined by the traditional laws of the Jews, that a woman should not appear in public unless she were veiled. See this proved by Lightfoot in loco. Dishonoureth her head - Shows a lack of proper respect to man, to her husband, to her father, to the sex in general. The veil is a token of modesty and of subordinaion. It is regarded among Jews, and everywhere, as an emblem of her sense of inferiority of rank and station. It is the customary mark of her sex, and that by which she evinces her modesty and sense of subordination. To remove that, is to remove the appropriate mark of such subordination, and is a public act by which she thus shows dishonor to the man. And as it is proper that the grades and ranks of life should be recognized in a suitable manner, so it is improper that, even on pretence of religion, and of being engaged in the service of God, these marks should be laid aside. 4 | A Horrible plan to burn for eternity | Deut 32:4 | TL56 | 174650
The Bible does not teach that we are predestined to one fate or the other this goes against God giving man free will to chose his destiny. Ephesians 1:4 does not teach individual election but rather class election. The key phrase in the Ephesian verse is "in Him." It was not the case that God chose certain individuals to be either saved or lost; rather, the Lord foreordained that a certain class of persons would be saved. What sort of class? Those who submit to heaven's divine plan of redemption, which in this dispensation, involves obeying Jesus the Christ (Hebrews 5:8,9), and entering into that relationship that is described as being "in Him" (cf. Galatians 3:26,27).
