Hi DL, I assume you joined this forum for answers and this appears to be the one you can make the most sense of. It isn't true. It is impossible for God to be immoral. We, created in His image, also were born innocent with God's morals to guide us. But along with that, we also have the choice not to be moral. It's our free will. If God forced His will upon us, it wouldn't be the relationship He desires to have with us. So we choose ourselves and since the beginning of time our choices which we've elected appear to be what God has chosen for us. That's not true. God wants us with Him. I know you have to believe in miracles or you wouldn't be here. They occur everyday. Remember when God joined us here? I believe we as men and women weren't receiving the true message about him. Our free will is what has caused evil in the world. We need to love one another as God loves us. Remember there are only volunteers in Heaven. But to get back to your all important message about God not fixing the world. Frankly, the world is what it is because of man's poor choices. For instance, when I drive my car or put hairspray on my hair, how do I know what impact it's having on my brother or sister, regardless of age. God's not the one who did it. But He does answer prayers. He doesn't want to have to perform miracles time after time, however, so that you'll love Him. He wants us to love Him for being our Father and giving us life. You know this life is very temporary. God is with us every step of the way. But if you think he caused one single malicious act by doing something or not doing something, it can't be so. Satan is a parasite and bad influence on mankind. But for some reason, we give him more credit and attention and don't criticize him the way we criticize our Father in Heaven. How do you think God feels about that? He created this world and then us, trusting us to walk with him in goodness without hurting one another. The first man ever made broke that promise and we've been breaking it ever since. God isn't evil, DL and I hope you realize how difficult it is for Him to see us in pain. Why can't we see His pain instead of always focusing on ours. If everyone did for one another the way God intended, there wouldn't be hunger. Who did you cut off on the freeway today? Who did you not allow in the grocery line ahead of you? Who did you upset that went home and beat their child because you were the last straw to a very wired temper? Just some questions for you to consider. God abides in me and I in Him. Practice that and see the paradigm shift in really getting to know Him. Good luck to you, I hope your journey will be with our Father. If you still want to blame Him, He is very forgiving. Are you? |
