Shalom, in "Decretum Gelasianum" there is a strange mention with this book: Hieremiae - cum Cinoth id est lamentationibus suis. I've translated this decree into our language, Finnish, but I left the word "Cinoth" untranslated. What does it mean??

3 | what is the scripture Paul quotes here? | Eph 5:14 | Scandinavian Disciple | 42183
This Greek "Nestle-Aland" NT tells us; Acts 17:28 "Aratus, Phaenomena 5" Titus 1:12 "Epimenides, de oraculis" "..uninspired..", don't know about that, our God is so powerful He can use "the heathen" to do His will - take for an example Cyrus in the book of Ezra. However no mention of the quotation on Ephesians 5:14 - that's why I asked if someone knows. And I myself doubt it's from a song, as it is greek "legei" ("tell") - not "sing". |

6 | Will we know each other in heaven? | Matt 17:4 | Scandinavian Disciple | 39696
Here we have an example, Peter recognizes Moses and Elijah - though he'd never met them before. My opinion is that this passage supports the view we will know each other in heaven - hope we'll all see there!
7 | Who's the one Lamech had killed? | Gen 4:23 | Scandinavian Disciple | 38150
Why is this speech placed here?? Did Lamech slay Cain - accidentally? I think I've got hundreds of questions coming here, one by one..
8 | Peters death? | John 21:18 | Scandinavian Disciple | 38147
The text of "Muratorian Canon" (end of 1st century) tells us that Luke omitted the death of Peter from the Acts, as well as Paul's journey to Spain.

10 | uses of drugs | 1 Cor 6:12 | Scandinavian Disciple | 37602
The Bible forbids "pharmacy", getting drugged, the usage of drugs, several times, this can be seen clearly in greek texts, septuagint and NT: Deuteronomium 18:10 ends with the word "farmakos", as well as Rev. 9:21 - it is translated as "witch" or "sorceries" because of "far-magia", magic.. |

11 | why to curse when one should bless? | Job 2:9 | Scandinavian Disciple | 37600
In hebrew, I've always thought that "Barech Elohim" should be translated "Bless God" - definitely not "Curse". Blessing before dying was a custom of that day. Why KJV and several other bibles translate this as "curse", and not "bless"??
