1 | Where did this light come from? | Gen 1:3 | SallyThames | 74657
There are several theories about the "light", since God is the light simply put he could have just made it happen. Scientifically speaking, it cleary states God moved across the water, so water was on the face of the earth. Sound (when combined with water) at specific frequencies can produce a burst of light. Perhaps God spoke the words "let there be light" in the needed frequency... hence this is one "logical" explanation of where the light came from.
2 | How can one deal with death? | 1 Thess 4:13 | SallyThames | 74656
In 1996, I found my oldest brother dead in his home. His name was Jimmy. Jimmy had such faith in God, unshakeable. If he needed money, I would worry, he would say ...ahh sis, the Lord will take care of me...sure enough, unexpected funds would arrive. Many other times his faith brought him such peace and tranquility. It has been many years and I still can see his face as I saw it that day. Satan has his way of bringing up the pain and grief, it makes Christians vunerable to sin. I take consolation in the fact that Jimmy is at peace, in his mansion God prepared for him. Jimmy's dying did him no harm, he got the best end of the deal...the worst part of dying is on the surviors or loved ones of the deceased. I could almost hear the angels sing as we laid my brother in his tomb, still I wept for his earthly absence. Grief is long lasting and heart breaking, but when I can not bear the empty spot his death left for me, I think of the golden streets and pearly gates of Heaven and rejoice that he was called home... He was chosen to leave early, Lucky him.

Considering that I walk with God daily, it is not hard to imagine his first creation Adam, who was sinless walking and talking with God. How do we know what form God was in at that time. Trying to conceive the creator with a human mind is hard to do. Walking with God can be done even today.
