1 | Why Thomas said, Let us go so we can die | Not Specified | SISTERKIT | 119813 | ||
In the book of John. Concerning the death of Lazarus. Jesus is plainly making it clear to the disciples that Lazarus "sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it" Jesus was trying to explain to the disciples what He was about to do and they still didn't get it. However, In (v.14)He said to them plainly "Lazarus is dead." and (v.15) "I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, that you may believ. Nevertheless let us go to him." Then in (v.16) This is where my question comes in at. the scripture says, then Thomas, who is called the Twin, said to his vellow disciples, Let us also go, that we may die with Him. "Why do you think Thomas said, "Let us also go that we may die with Him?" I mean really, this wouldn't have been recorded if there wasn't a true spiritual meaning in it. I know that it's funny and sounds funny coming from Thomas, but really what do you think he meant? |
