Malaki 4:5-6 Behold, I'll send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the lord. And Elijah will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the heart of children to their fathers, lest i come and smite the earth with a curse. Every single prophet has come from the Jews! Is there anything else to add? |

6 | I need blessing | Bible general Archive 4 | RangerNorth | 210486
Hi! Read 1 cor 4:9-13 But still we think of Paul as a great man who did Gods will in everything he did. Maybe you just have work to do. Being put behind makes you strife and that can often bless people around you. If you want to be first, take the last position. It will not give you much in this life but it will grant you a better resurrection. Christ is Alpha and Omega though :))) Praise Jesus! Forever and ever. |

8 | A difficult question | Bible general Archive 4 | RangerNorth | 210480
Reading the bible without the Holy Spirit is almost pointless in my humble opinion. You cannot describe the preacence of God, only feel it. Reading 2nd peter with the direction of the Holy Spirit makes it impossible to deny that the letter is inspired. IMO :) |

I think i have been doing and writing things that makes me a false prophet. Reading 2nd peter about men who come with dangerous theories. Making the weak in faith even more weak (?). It scares me, but why did he write so accurate about these men? Is there a chance for me after denying my lord twice? I use drugs during any hour of the day. Im an alcoholic and an addict. Its harder than hell to stop these things. But i can clearly see how glorious Jesus Christ is. Can he save me and change me before the final fire... or what ever. How can you not love Jesus? But married couple argue sometimes, even if they love one another with all their hearts. :) Peter says that if people do certain things they will never fall. Im clearly not one of them. But Jesus can also scare me to be honest. Paul writes that He is not weak towards you but powerful amongst you. (2nd corinthians) im translating myself but ya'll probably know what verse this is. My life just seems so pointless when im sober... most of the time. And the desire to get high is so strong sometimes that all i can do is give in. Its sometimes the only thing left. It seems like the only christian group that i can connect with and be a part of is Jehovas Witnesses. There, the only thing i do is learn and i always keep my mouth shut when i see something in the bible that i think is interesting. Or something that i can connect with. My teacher is a great man with the most knowledge on the bible of all the people i know and listen to. I love him allot. I sometimes feel like im on the edge of being eternally lost. Any encouraging words would be welcome. With love (i try and hope) Ranger North. |

It appears to me from the bible that we can't do anything to increase our chances to be "saved". It's entirely up to God. But it also says that God can make you enjoy life to the maximum. Well, at least some people say that. Jesus said that he came to give people life more abundantly. But i'm really depressed more often than not. Yet in Hebrews 4:3 it says: "although the works were finished from the foundation of the world". What does this mean? Romans 9:19: "Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will? Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?" Maybe not, but i'd like to point out that things don't have hopes, fears and feelings. Martin Luther said: "But no one can give such a heart except the Spirit of God, who makes the person be like the law, so that he actually conceives a heartfelt longing for the law and henceforward does everything, not through fear or coercion, but from a free heart. Such a law is spiritual since it can only be loved and fulfilled by such a heart and such a spirit. If the Spirit is not in the heart, then there remain sin, aversion and enmity against the law, which in itself is good, just and holy." Romans 5:18 says "Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life." So in other words we're just pilgrims on this planet. We're passing through with pain, suffering and evil in preperation for something new and better? Or am i wrong? |
