1 | is there a devil | Bible general Archive 4 | PTSgirl | 236357
Satan is a real person. God originally created perfect spirit beings as sons. According to the Bible, Satan became this evil spirit being after he deceived Eve in the Garden of Eden and became a liar and manslayer (John 8:44). Satan used his free will given by God to rebel and he wanted glory and honor that should only go to God. Satan was enticed by his own wrong desires as brought out at James 1: 14, and 15 and this led to his sin. Even Jesus recognized Satan's existence at Luke 22:31, Luke 10:19, and Matthew 25:41. By his rebellious course, Satan made himself what his name means: adversary. The Bible also says that the world is lying in the power of the wicked one (1 John 5:19). I believe that based on all of the bad things that are happening in the world, Satan is alive and very busy. However, the Bible gives hope that soon God will intervene and resolve all of mankind's woes (Daniel 2:44). I hope this helps. I'd be glad to answer any other questions you might have.
2 | unmarried sex | Acts 21:25 | PTSgirl | 236356
The Bible clearly teaches that sex outside of marriage is wrong. Numerous scriptures in the Bible condemn fornication. 1 Thessalonians 4:3-8 says that we should abstain from fornication; that each one shoud get possessionn of his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in covetous sexual appetite such as those nations have which do not know God. Ephesians 5:5 also says that no fornicator or adulterer or greedy person will inherit God's kingdom. 1 Corinthinians 6:9-11 also says that fornicators and a host of other practices will not inherit God's kingdom. However, if a person changes his way of life and brings it in accordance with God's high moral standards, a good relationship is possible with God and 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 says that, too. Hope this helps you.
3 | Need Bible verses on why man was created | Bible general Archive 4 | PTSgirl | 236355
Hi. The answer is right in the book of Genesis 1:27, 28: "God created male and female. Further, God blessed them and said, be fruitful, become many and fill the earth, and subdue it and have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and every living creature that is moving upon the earth." Adam and Eve were created perfect with the opportunity to have everlasting life. However, using free will given to them by God, they decided that they would not listen to their creator, but instead would listen to someone else. This one disobedient act catapulted the human race into sin and death. According to the Bible, God continues to work out his purpose to have humans return to perfection, with the hope of everlasting life. The answers are all inside the Bible. It simply takes time to examine the Bible and have your questions answered. If you have more questions, I would be glad to discuss this further. Hope this helps. Thx.
