I was not talking denominations. I was refering to a biblical passage and I do think it relevant that we understand and meditate upon the words of our lord, for If we all agree upon an interpretation then is it not beneficial to all believers? | ||||||

I was wondering in the Gospel of John where Jesus refers to Himself as the bread which came down from heaven how do we answer this as it pertains to what catholics believe? I have been told that when the people began to leave after Jesus said this, because they thought He was mad, He knowing that they thought He was talking about His flesh really being food, if that is not what he really meant He would have corrected them, rather than allow them to continue in error as He had corrected others when their thoughts were incorrect. But they say since that is what He really meant and since He is incabable of lying or deceiving He allowed them to leave. | ||||||

I would like to suggest that you get the book the catena aurea. It is a fabulous commentary on the four gospels according to the earily fathers. You will learn a lot from this wonderful book. | ||||||
