3 | Once saved always saved is this true? | Heb 6:4 | Not yet | 152576
All the verses you quote, have one thing in common. Obedience. Would it be better for one to say something IS in scripture when it is NOT, or perhaps simply to quote the scripture from both sides of a coin such as this? It seems most choose to quote scripture from the side that they, for whatever reason, choose to take. Wouldn't we be more likely to glorify His name in advocating obedience rather than saying one can be obedient then choose not to obey the Word, and still make it into Glory? IN Him NYP |

Lord HAVE MERCY!!! I find it hard to believe that I have come under such bitter, vicious and down right cruel scrutiny. Oh the stones which have been cast.My prayers are with each individual. Even if I were who you seem to think I am, what have I done to deserve such animosity? As I recall I simply made a statement, then said that I based it on scripture itself. If this makes me a " fool who is right in his own eyes," then I am guilty, for in my eyes Gods Word is more than adequate to defend itself without my feeble help. Brothers, Sisters, If you wish to argue, do it amongst yourselves, for I will not participate. If I have wronged anyone, lay it out plainly. I will answer to it. If someone else has wronged you, do not blame me because my "style" bears a resemblance to his/hers. If the Lockman foundation notifies me of my wrong, and desires that I no longer participate in their forum, I will honor their request. However, I will not argue with those who wish to present themselves as my judge, jury and executioner. For the record, my email address is NYP@direcway.com Someone in this forum has HACKED into my profile and changed it. I suspect this is because they do not wish Lockman to contact me directly. NYP |

I do not attempt to fool myself in thinking that I am the only person whos "style" goes against the grain. I did a brief search on Georjoy and Glory Bound. Interesting character, this Georjoy. Blunt and to the point, but I think I like him. As to Glory Bound. I see that he/she was praised until someone named "Hank" came on the scene. Why do you avoid answering my questions? NYP |

Thank you Hank, but I am sure that you will agree that there are various truths in scripture which simply are not stated word for word. As to your Doctor analogy, I appreciate and understand it, but I claim no Doctorate which is not readily available to all who wish to know the truth concerning the Living Word of God. Nor do I receive the wage you are paying your Doctor to provide his services. I do firmly believe that 2 Timothy 2:15 was translated as it is, in the King James Version, for a reason, and that one of the greatest weapons the enemy possess is laziness toward self indulgence in the Word, and that it is better to teach a person to fish, rather than continuing to give him fish. Where in scripture, dear Hank, are we commanded to "prove anything" concerning the word? Are we not commanded to, "Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction." 2 Timothy 4:2 Have I not followed Peters word in " 1 Peter 3:15 "But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." ? That I have chosen a method which attempts to draw one deeper into scripture, rather than sole dependency on others for information, Is this disrespectful? Dear Brother, can you tell me where in scripture we are commanded to prove the Word of God? Is this not rather left up to Gods discretion? Are we not simply to present that Word and the truth thereof? I pray you, Brad, Doc, and all who read can understand my analogy. Proof in in the beholder. In His loving Name I am Not Yet perfect, but I am on my way. |

Well Doc, that's your opinion. I paraphrased Brother Brad some scripture to back up my assertion. That you wish to judge me an "oxymoron, and prideful" is your prerogative. I am thankful that you are not my ultimate judge, yet, if you insist on scripture, you may wish to consider the following "Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again." Mat 7:1 - 2. And Brother Doc, I would ask you the following, "Who are you to judge someone else's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.Romans 14:4 If you do not recognize the scriptural validity of my posts to Brother Brad, perhaps you will recognize it herein. Now, dear Brother Doc, the question is, can you accept, and perhaps learn something from your brazen attack on me, and take it to heart in a Christlike manor? As to any farther correspondence on this matter, you can retort if you wish. I choose to drop it, for I can forsee nothing coming from it which will glorify our Lord, and I will ignore any such retort which does not measure up to the letter of scripture. 1. This post is biblically based and (---whenever possible,---) I have included Bible references to support it. 2. This post is not intended as a personal attack on the authority of the Bible or on other users of this forum. 3. This post is not submitted as an effort to foster divisiveness, ill-will, dissension or other disruptions to this forum. 4. I have carefully proofread my post and believe it represents my best efforts. Serving Him in truth. NYP |

Thank you Mark. Your words are pure as gold. They put me in mind of how little I retain when I read. This is why I come to sights such as this. There are questions asked which make me think. Questions concerning much I have studied, and just as much I have only read. Yours is one of the rare answers which needs no debate. It is final. I would rate yours as the "answer of the decade." Brad, please forgive me, but it is not my place to "prove" anything to you, or anyone else. You have access to the Word just as I do. If you were familiar with it, you would know to what I refer. May I humbly suggest, you spend a little more time therein. In the KJV, there are 74 references to the word "judgment" in the NT; 58 references to the word "judge." Were you to do a word study on either, or both, no doubt, you wouldn't need me to provide you with the "proof" you desire, and the knowledge you gleaned would be much more valuable to you than if I did all the work.If you still do not find the "proof" you desire, you may wish to read up on some of the history books in the Bible. There are many statements which can only be found in scripture through the reading of more than just a passage or two. Think back to King David. Did he not see judgment while he was still alive, for his sin with Bathsheba? Did his very own son not rape his daughter, and the brother of that daughter, did he not kill that son? Did David, he who was after the very heart of God, not loose his kingdom? Do you think these occurrences were just fate? As I previously stated concerning my former statements, "I would provide [scripture as a whole] as the framework for my statements." Humbly NYP |

14 | Who will be saved? Few, Many or All? | Rom 3:23 | Not yet | 152405
Precisely... But I can't see how Ro 12:12 can be associated with it. I think you mean Ro 12:2. I love that passage. There is so much meaning to those few words. Imagine one who has lived a life of theft and deceit. No doubt, that individual has felt justified in such a lifestyle. "Take from the rich and give to the poor." The poor usually being "me." Now imagine God bestowing His grace on that individual. All of a sudden that person starts feeling a little remorse here and there. God has replaced his/her stony heart with one of flesh. Finally, imagine that person, through the grace of God and the faith that God bestowed on him/her, accepting Jesus Christ as his/her savior. Now, can you imagine that person continuing to justify his/her previous lifestyle? No, that person is undergoing a renewing of the mind, becoming a new person. Old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2Co 5:17. “He/She has been born again.” I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth. Luk 15:10 NYP |

For those who like to nit "pick words," here is one. "All." For "all" have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. No doubt, this all does not mean all as we know it. For Jesus was without sin. But did it not say "all?" It will be interesting to see the comments on this one. NYP |

I would provide scripture as a whole as the framework for my statements, which you refer to as, views. Surely you are aware of the judgments passed on, and endured by the nation Israel. What makes you think God has changed his way of dealing with men and nations? Can you provide scripture to the contrary? Those you have provided are most assuredly true, but way out of context concerning what I have stated. I think you may be confusing consequence with final judgment. As to judging another, I have stated many times, and I cannot understand why anyone who has read or studied scripture would not agree, that no one can judge another, but we have the authority and are expected to judge the actions of that other, and make them aware of the consequences thereof. I did not say “shove it down their throat.” I said “make them aware.” Just as our Lord did, and taught His original disciples to do. Yes, there will be a final judgment. Tell me where scripture states that there are not judgments and prices to pay before that final one. God passes judgments on individuals as well as nations, even today. Why He passes or does not pass judgments on any one particular individual or nation, is a question you will have to present to Him, for I am only another messenger of His word, not the originator thereof, nor one who claims to know the mind of God. These judgments do not always result in eternal damnation or death, but can you say that there are no lessons we can learn from them? Do you not think that if, perhaps we were to turn back to His Word, He might not choose to bless us, rather than allow such destruction as there has been in the last 3 or 4 years? Check out the ages of some before God made that decree. I can't remember where or when it was, probably somewhere in Genesis, but God shortened our years to what you quote. My Mother-in-Law live to be 94. Many, even today, live much longer. It is also evident, if one reads scripture as it is written, that what I have stated concerning Moses, is factual. |

Is there anyone, other than the scripturally ignorant, and those who wish to "burry their head in the sand," who honestly thinks that, even America can continue in their sin, without judgment? Our country was founded on a belief in God all mighty. Today, it's very foundation is eroding and being chipped away by the liberal minded Christian professing, worshipers of SELF. Could the words you quote not be truth? The next "alternative lifestyle" could very well be that of today’s terrorist. Just as was once the KKK. It is just as hideous and it's end is the same, death destruction and damnation. NYP. |

Yet, the wages of sin ARE death. No matter how egregious. I do not believe anyone can connect this "death" to damnation though. NYP |
