1 | please, where do races come from ? | 1 Corinthians | Motengator | 172228
Well Adam and Eve didn't come from any parents did they? That's because God can do all kind of neat stuff that we can't comprehend. Wrap your mind around this- their children could have been of different "races" when they were born. You know they had other children after Cain and Abel, right (Christ descended from Seth)? OK, get some of this- some folks believe that all black people descended from Ham, Noah's son whom he cursed ("you will serve your brethen") for making fun of him when he got drunk and naked, and yes the wine had alcohol back then because the verse says he was a "husbandmen", grew grapes, and was "drunken". Anyway, the world had to be repopulated after the flood, so the race thing would have had to start thereabouts. Jacob's oldest son married an "Ethiopian woman". There are references to Ethiopia going way back, so there were blending of the races way back when. If it didn't happen right after the flood, then it certainly happened after the tower of Babel (Babyl as in Babylon). Recessive genes are a complicated topic. If God wanted you to have a blue child, then you would have a blue child. I don't understand why people will believe Charles Darwin, who popped up 150 years ago with wild ideas ( he was a freak in his time) but won't believe the Bible which has been handed down for thousands of years. Pre-destination I suppose. Not all of us are going to make it.
2 | Is sex between singles a sin? | 1 Corinthians | Motengator | 172224
You're not serious are you? Look up "fornication". Adultery is when one or both partners are married. Fornication is between singles, and yes, it is a sin. An yes, I'm as guilty as the next person, but I praise God that my children are stronger than I was.
3 | When was the separation of heaven/hell? | Gen 1:1 | Motengator | 172223
Read the first chapter of Job and see if Satan has been back to heaven, though the place isn't implied. It speaks of a gathering of the Elect, which I would assume to be in heaven, but Satan showed up. Three times in the book of John, Christ refers to Satan as "the prince of this world". Satan indeed has free rain on this world and apparently can come and go in heaven, also. As for when heaven and hell separated, why don't you assume that they were created that way and there was no "event" of separation?

In 1 Cor 13, does anyone see any reference to "baptism of the Holy Spirit"? It's a stretch for me, but then I'm not real smart.
