2 | Women speak in church? | 1 Cor 14:34 | MIILAZ | 9355
As always, the context in which 1 Cor. 11:5 is written must be compared with other text. In 1 Cor 14. 34-35, the express prohibition against the "publicy" of women preaching. No contradiction. The Gal. 5 reference is speaking of our "standing" as "justified believers" not the biblical roles. Never go beyond Scripture, and submit to its authority. Anything else is antinominism. Do not "wrest the scriptures." Check out BibleBB.com for the detailed answers to "women's scriptural roles."

6 | Why OT covenants if not for salvation? | OT general | MIILAZ | 3769
Thank you for the information; you sound very knowledgeable and I appreciate your answer. However, I believe that salvation is a concept in the Old Testament because Job referred to his "Redeemer," and, of course, the sacrificial system set up by Moses must have pointed to eternal life for the believer. Perhaps our terminology is the problem. Agreed wholeheartedly--salvation through Christ and Him alone. Thank you for any more input.
7 | Proselyte to Judaism as means of salv. | OT general | MIILAZ | 3728

8 | Did James (author) know as much as Paul? | James | MIILAZ | 3095
As many know, Martin Luther sincerely questioned whether James should be in the canon of scriptures. But I believe the resurrected Lord Jesus appeared to James (I Cor 15:7), and although I can't prove it, I believe he would have been enlightened by the Lord at this meeting.
9 | Did James (author) know as much as Paul? | James | MIILAZ | 3094
Thank you for your insight. I agree wholeheartily. I was more or less playing the "devil's advocate" in asking the question.
10 | Did James (author) know as much as Paul? | James | MIILAZ | 2917
Was the author of James as inspired as the Apostle Paul? Some say he didn't have all the facts when he wrote the book of James.
