1 | The Sons of God in Genesis 6:1-4 | Genesis | LookingforTruth | 31120
Dear Servant7, It is sad to see and listen to many say they are in Christ and to be yet so far away, yet blinded by the traditions of men, stuck without spiritual discernment. For this I hurt every hour of every day in my heart. I have and continue to read the Bible in search of truth and one of the truths which is so plain and blatant to me is that fallen angels took women for wives and had offspring with them,"Nephilim(giants, mighty men, gibbor, men of old, etc..)" Your reference to Matt 24:37 is a good one but what about verse 38, who were the ones giving and taking in marriage? This is obvious to me that the fallen angels are coming back. As it says in Rev 12:9 they will be cast to earth with satan. How about Rev chapter 9, do you think the locust who have the angel of the bottomless pit(Rev 9:11) over them are actually going to be fallen angels?, I do. Another reference to the fallen angels which lines up with them coming back can be found in 1Cor 11. In 1Cor 11 men are told not to put a false spiritual veil(long hair) over their head and women are told to keep their spiritual veil(long hair) because of the angels(1Cor 11:10). Most people believe 1Cor 11 to be referring to good angels, not me. Anyway, these are some things I believe have been revealed to me and I believe the angels are coming again and will be trying to seduce men and women with their goodly words, like locust of Rev 9 their power is in their mouth(words) and their sting is in their tails, like a scorpion they will sting and those asleep will never see it coming. Jesus said my sheep will hear my voice and hearken to the commands of the Father and it is obvious that you are listening. I only wish there to be more who quit listening to men and start listening with their heart while reading the Bible. What do you think? Love Fountain |

2 | The Massorah? | OT general | LookingforTruth | 31111
Dear Radioman, It is obvious that Serenetime does not care for other translations but the one preferred by Serenetime, but to call someone a fool 42 times I don't understand what possesses a person to treat another person in that manner regardless. You have left yourself wide open for someone to put you down but that will also be giving place to evil and feeding into the depravity men use as an excuse for unchrist like behavior. Perhaps we should ALL take a look at ourselves and get the dirt out of our own eyes before pointing fingers. We ALL fall short and it is up to ALL of us to pick each other up not put each other down. The only way you will get rid of the anger within you, which is obvious in your participation in this and most postings in the forum is to stop and listen to God's word with your heart completely. Read with all your heart and God will cleanse your soul and take away your pain. Looking for Truth |

3 | The Massorah? | OT general | LookingforTruth | 31107
Dear Tim, I believe it to be profitable to a reader of the Bible to compare all translations to each other. Some passages may be difficult to understand in one Bible and clearly understood in another. However, regarding what you have stated on the Massorah,"Concerning the Massorah, it has the same basic problems as the TR. It was created late, maybe as late as the 6th century a.d.", this information is not accurate. The Text had been fixed by the Sopherim before the Massorites were put in charge of it. The work by the Sopherim, was done under Ezra and Nehemiah, when the Text was set in order after the return from Babylon. This can be read about in Nehemiah 8:8 (compare Ezra 7:6,11). Those of the "Great Synagogue" were the ones who completed the work. The work is said to have lasted around 110 years, from Nehemiah to Simon the first, 410-300 B.C.. The Sopherim were the actual revisers and the Massorites were the custodians. The Talmud says the use of the Massorah leaves little room for deception. More information may be obtained in Dr. Ginsburgs Introduction to the Hebrew Bible. Looking for Truth |

4 | Zec 6:12 and 3:8, Orient for Branch? | Not Specified | LookingforTruth | 23716
I like to cross check different Bibles and today I was checking a KJV against a Catholic Douay version. The verses I read were from Zechariah or Zacharias as follows: KJV Zec 6:12 - And speak unto him, saying,"Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Behold the Man Whose name is The Branch; and He shall grow up out of His place, and he shall build the temple of the Lord: Then I read the Douay which said Zac 6:12 - And thou shalt speak to him, saying: Thus saith the Lord of hosts, saying: Behold A Man, The Orient Is His Name: and under him shall he spring up, and shall build a temple to the Lord. The Orient became the Branch in the different books and also this happens in Chapter 3:8 also. I find this strange, does anyone have an explanation for this? |

8 | Rapture question? | 1 Thess 4:17 | LookingforTruth | 23397
Hi Searcher, Thanks for answering! So do you believe God will kill the people on the plane and allow them to die lost? What if ten of the people on the plane were God fearing Christians? I know this wasn't a part of my original question but I am thinking of a response I would receive. I have always thought God not to be evil and killing people in a plane crash because the pilot is raptured to me is evil. Maybe I'm wrong? What do you think? |

9 | Rapture question? | 1 Thess 4:17 | LookingforTruth | 23396
Vispro, I can only wonder why you would reply without an answer? So, you are saying God doesn't care about the other people left on board? Are you a rapture believer? This answer is amazing and a waste of my time. Thank you for not helping and being rude to boot. |

10 | Rapture question? | Not Specified | LookingforTruth | 23385
This is one question that I was asked regarding the Rapture that I could not answer. If I am in a single motor airplane and there is only one pilot and there are 18 people on board who don't know how to fly and the rapture takes place while we are in midflight and the pilot is raptured and everyone else is left behind does this mean everyone on board will die in a crash? Who will fly the plane? Help! How do I answer this? |

12 | New prophecies in the New Testament? | Bible general Archive 1 | LookingforTruth | 23383
Hi Searcher, Thanks for the time you invested in answering my question, but I think was must have not been clear regarding what I was looking for. I have been checking the scriptures you gave me and am finding what you said was new in the old testament. I am sorry if I wasn't more clear. An example is the first verse you qouted me Matt 12:40. This is not a new prophecy of the new testament but from the old testament quoted from Jonah 1:17. so as I kept cross checking what you have said is new they are not. I believe everything you quoted me are in the old testament. I am sorry because I know you were trying to help! So, maybe you have three different verses that won't take so long to find that are new in the new testament that were not prohecied in the old testament. I hope this make sense! Thanks! LookingforTruth. |
