1 | Jesus brothers. | Matt 12:46 | Kazan | 123859
I can't think of any references in the Bible to a son or daughter of Mary besides Jesus. Regardless, the Bible does speak of His sisters and brothers. I've heard that most of Jesus' siblings denied He was the Savior, even James who eventually became a Christ follower and wrote the book of James. That may explain why they weren't around when Jesus was crucified. It says in John 7, "Therefore His brothers said to Him, 'Leave here and go into Judea, so that Your disciples also may see Your works which You are doing. For no one does anything in secret when he himself seeks to be known publicly. If You do these things, show Yourself to the world.' For not even His brothers were believing in Him."(vs.3-5). Also, Luke 8:19-21 says, "And His mother and brothers came to Him, and they were unable to get to Him because of the crowd. And it was reported to Him, 'Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside, wishing to see You.' But He answered and said the them, 'My mother nad My brothers are these who hear the word of God and do it." |

2 | Help in studying and reading bible | Gen 1:1 | Kazan | 123850
On reading the Bible, you can start almost anywhere. But I have heard a suggestion that is pretty good. Start by reading either Genesis, Matthew, or Acts. Genesis because it is the book of beginnings, Matthew because it accurately tells the story of Jesus' life, along with the other three Gospels. Acts because it is the story of the church. On studying your Bible there are plenty of ways to do it. I challenge you to find a way that fits you best. Because your relationship with God is personal so is your study time, God wants to reveal certain things to you personally and challenge you with things on a personal level. Some good ways I have enjoyed are the following: study a character- study someone in the Bible, good or bad, what can you learn from them? study a book- go through a book of the Bible and glean as much as you can, make sure you look up words you don't understand or cross reference verses, see what the rest of the Bible says on that verse. study one verse- it's amazing how much study can be done on a single verse or even a word, try studying propitiation, use a concordance and find where the Bible talks about that word, and then look at it in context Homiletics- the way I've been taught homiletics is by taking maybe fifteen verses, read through them and then write down a summary of what each verse is saying, then at the end write down lessons or truths you learn from that section and then applications, how do you apply those truths to your life? inductive- some people really enjoy this type of study, you go through the Bible and mark different words in different ways, for example you may read through Psalms and underline or highlight every reference to what God is, ect. I'm running out of time, if you want me to elaborate on any of these I'd be happy to. |

3 | Jesus brothers. | Matt 12:46 | Kazan | 123849
"It is not restricted to the literal meaning of a full brother" This is a quote from the website you referred me to. While the Greek word is not restricted to the meaning of brother it certainly is possible that that is what teh word means. "not restricted to" means that one meaning is brothers. "When Catholics call Mary the "Blessed Virgin," they mean she remained a virgin throughout her life." This is also a quote from that website, however the Bible says, "And Joseph awoke from his sleep and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took Mary as his wife, but kept her a virgin UNTIL she gave birth to a Son; and he called His name Jesus." -Matthew 1:24-25. Mary was betrothed to Joseph, and they did get married. As the verse says, Mary was kept a virgin UNTIL she gave birth to Jesus. It's very possible that Jesus did have sisters and brothers, if you look back at the verse I typed up earlier you will see that it is the people He grew up with, who knew Jesus that asked, "is not His mother called Mary, and His brothers...and His sisters, are they not all with us?"- Matthew 13:56. These people clumped together, Mary-mother, brothers, and sisters. So you can conclude by looking at the context of this verse that the word in Greek there means literally brothers and literally sisters. Especially because they are talking about his mother first and then his brothers and sisters. The fact that brothers and sisters are clumped together with mother, signifies that Jesus did have brothers and sisters. |

4 | Jesus brothers. | Matt 12:46 | Kazan | 123823
Matthew 13:56 speaks of Jesus sisters. In fact, verse 54-57 says, "He came to His hometown and began teaching them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished, and said, 'Where did this man get this wisdom and thesee miraculous powers? Is not this the carpenter's son? Is not His mother called Mary, and his brothers, James and Joseph and Simon and Judas? And His sisters, are they not all with us? Where then did this man get all these things?' And they took offense at Him. But Jesus said to them, 'A prophet is not without honor except in his hometown and in his own household.'And He did not do many miracles there because of their unbelief." This passage is pretty clear that Jesus did have brothers and even sisters through Mary. One of his brothers was named Joseph, which was a common practice in the day to name a son after the father (ex: Luke 1:59). |

7 | mathew 21: 12 | Matt 21:15 | Kazan | 123770
Jesus didn't really react harshly. He acted completely within reason. People were misusing the very house or temple of God. So Jesus prevented them from continuing what they were doing and corrected their behavior.
