1 | Church is kidnapped to Sodom! | James 2:8 | Kango | 58098
There is no 100 perfect church out there. However it is not impossible to find a good church. They are churches where the unadulterated word of God is preached and teached. They will always be people who do not obey the word that is preached to them. Then there are some stumble and fall now and then, some more severely than others. However that should not be happening at the leadership level. Ask the LORD with a sincere heart to guide you to a church where his WORD is preached and teached. Since it is according to his will, he will guide you to a good church. Just live Holy. 1Timothy 3 chapter list the requirements for the church leadership. If the leadership is not living up to those requirements then it is not the church for you. May the Lord guide you in this matter.
2 | Is it by works or by grace? | Luke 11:8 | Kango | 57898
Apparently you misunderstood the context of my note. The context to which I was replying was should someone pray over and over the same thing. For example (if a person want a house, should that person ask the LORD for a house every time they prayer?) That's the context for which my reply was based. I know that man is always to prayer and not faint.
3 | Is it by works or by grace? | Luke 11:8 | Kango | 57821
You have to have the faith that God heard you prayer the first time. You do not necessarily pray for the same thing over and over again. Though God may use certain situations and trials to make you pray about over and over in order for you to build a relationship with him. When we pray beleive that God heard us the first time(I cannot remember the scripture at this time) and then make your prayers, a prayer of thanksgiving. The prayers of thanksgiving can be prayed over and over again, but if it is a prayer of petition(ie you want something from the LORD) providing that your motives are correct then you only have to prayer one beleiving that God heard your prayer.
4 | Is it by works or by grace? | Luke 11:8 | Kango | 57766
God hears our prayers the the first time when we say them. Sometimes the answer may be delayed because the enemy (Satan) may try to block the answer (Dan 10:12-14) or we ask God with the wrong motives (James 4:3). When we ask God for anything it must be in accordance with his will for you. Also you must believe that he hears you, and in God's timing not ours. The answer will come. While we are awaiting the answer, give thanks and praise (praise speeds up the answer) unto the Lord. As for 2 Peter 1:3 is referring to the Spiritual tools (The HOLY SPIRIT) we need to live a holy and blameless life before the LORD.
