1 | Why did Peter deny Jesus? | Matt 26:34 | KMarie07 | 199571 | ||
Clay - Your analogy of walking out the church doors and following the world was probably the best example I have seen yet. I'm suppose to be discussing the concept of Phileo love this Weds in my small group and I didn't think I'd be struggling this much with the concept. I think my problem is I tend to forget to see it as "affection, emotion, or feeling" and your example about leaving the walls of the church spoke to me more about it being a mind-set so-to-speak. Not only that but I was looking at it from that one particular passage when Peter affirms his love for Christ and that passage only. It doesn't make much sense unless we go back and look at the fact that he also denied Christ. Thank you soooooo much for posting this! It is such a huge help :) K-Marie |
