1 | Question about Genesis 6:6 | Genesis | Joshua_001 | 32623 | ||
The animals did nothing to incur the wrath of G-d, but for this cause were animals made “for man to have dominion over”. Animals are much like humans, except they lack in one thing that separates us (humans), from all other forms of life. That is the Spirit of G-d, is with in us. A spark of the Divine G-d is with in all humans. Animals lacking in this aspect cannot be considered as “valuable” to G-d or humans, as another human is. Thus we must find their purpose and that purpose is for man. That we may have “dominion” over them and that they obey u s. Moreover if there is no life form with a “spark of the divine” (humans). It is not necessary to have animals. Thus if G-d chooses to execute judgment on man at such a scale, animals will meat the same fate as there masters (humans). Although this may not be an in-depth explanation, I believe it sums up the answer for it. Joshua_001 Copyright 1999-2002 ( yeshuaresoure.port5.com/ ) – web site currently under construction. |
