1 | Questioning God is criticizing him? | Rom 9:20 | ItsMee | 141449
I always had this vision of God as someone who wants us to ask him questions as a child does thier father. I can see this as a question a child would ask a father. Is it criticizing God to ask a legitiment question such as this? If so, why?
2 | can you please explain this verse? 20? | Rom 9:19 | ItsMee | 141448
I was reading Romans and came across 9. I am somewhat disturb because I either do not understand what it is saying, or I do and it rubs me the wrong way. Dont misunderstand me, as I am not looking for my ear to be tickled. When something rubs me in the wrong way while reading the bible I know that the problem is with ME and NOT God's word. My question is, what context is this verse in, and can you please explain it in a way that is easier for me to understand? I also have a question about verse after, which is verse 20: "Romans 9:20 But who are you, a mere man, to criticize and contradict and answer back to God? Will what is formed say to him that formed it, Why have you made me thus?" I always had this vision of God as someone who wants us to ask him questions as a child does thier father. I can see this as a question a child would ask a father. Is it criticizing God to ask a legitiment question such as this? If so, why? |
