2 | seeing , standing firm in spiritual war | Bible general Archive 1 | Goldengirl | 3199
How to stand firm in the midst of spiritual warfare is described in Ephesians 6, the Armor of God, but I do not know of a specific place in the Bible describing in full detail about recognizing the warfare. I can say that I feel if you are being tormented by evil thoughts, extreme temptations, various trials that are trying to bring you down spiritually, it could very well be a direct attack by satan. However, I believe that Christians are at times tormented by satan and his demons, and influenced by them, but if you are truly saved you have the holy Spirit dwelling within you and I don't think you can be actually "possessed" at the same time. When we are saved, satan has lost our soul, but he will do what ever he can to make us miserable and even try and convince us we aren't really saved, and when he is doing these things to us we are focusing more on getting him out of our lives rather than growing and maturing spiritually. I hope this is of a little help to your question.
3 | Do you know people in heaven? | Bible general Archive 1 | Goldengirl | 3193
I base my beliefs on the entire Bible, which I have read more than once, not just a few verses taken out of context. Just because I am not J. VanImpe, who has memorized practically the entire Bible, does not mean I don't have Scripture to back up my beliefs, which I have the right to by the way. I do know where many things are located in the Bible, but there is one thing I do not believe in and will not do, and that is argue over the Bible. I learned a long time ago to not respond to insults and argumentative attitudes regarding beliefs, and I can and will give you Scripture to back that up!! 2 Tim.2 and Titus 3:9. I may not agree with yours or the beliefs of some other individuals, but as a fellow Christain I respect your right to your opinions and only ask the same Christ-like behavior in return. God Bless! |

4 | Do you know people in heaven? | Bible general Archive 1 | Goldengirl | 3060
I do not believe there is anything temporal about wondering what heaven will be like, as a matter of fact I feel that it is a benefit to dig and dig for spiritual depth in the Bible. We were given minute details about many things in the Bible, and it is my belief that it may have been done that way, #1 because God chose to do it that way and possibly to make us keep digging for more to learn in His Word. I get great spiritual blessings and enjoy pondering about the "mysteries" of the Bible. my wondering about heaven has nothing whatsoever to do with questioning whether or not it's good enough! I know without a doubt it will be far greater than anything we could imagine because that's what God's Word says. Yes, we will have glorified bodies and dwell with the Triune God, but I believe part of my happiness will also be having my loved ones as part of the heavenly family also!!!
5 | Could there be a greater calling? | Not Specified | Goldengirl | 2946
Shortly after my husband was baptized with water, he began to hear the Lord speak to him more than just in his heart, he began to hear Him speak audibly. He was called into the singing ministry. On several other occasions has heard God call his name. Is it possible that by God speaking to him audibly, He may have a greater calling on his life other than singing?

7 | Do you know people in heaven? | Bible general Archive 1 | Goldengirl | 2941
You said it your self, was not AT FIRST recognized. He did not want to be recognized until the proper time. Every thing has a proper time. I respect your right to interpret Scripture as the Spirit leads you, and the same applies to all Christians. It is interesting and enjoyable to get differing spiritual understandings of Scripture, but it all fits together like one perfect puzzle in the end!
8 | What is the best version of the Bible? | Bible general Archive 1 | Goldengirl | 2937
I have spent many many hours and dollars to discover that each version shows more accuracy in one area and another version may be more accurate in another area. I have a Bible Library disc for my PC which contains the literal version and as far as I can see and have learned from my own research, the NASB is the most literal and accurate to me. But I believe it is each individual's responiblity to do your own choosing.

10 | Is God responsible for evil? | Bible general Archive 1 | Goldengirl | 2934
God is only responsible for FREE-WILL. Satan was the top guardian angel who guarded God's throne, but he also had tha same free will to choose just as we have that free will. Satan's pride in himself and wanting to be God was the first free will choice to go the wrong way! Isa. 14:12-17 and Ezek. 28:12-17.
11 | The Rapture, when will it be? | Bible general Archive 1 | Goldengirl | 2932
I believe in Mid-Trib. Rapture. Rev.11:15-19. I think the reason there are verses that seem to contradict concerning the second coming is due to the fact that it is referring to two seperate events. I spent 7 hours studying and researching scriptures to come to my beliefs RE: Rapture. Some Scripture refers to Christ coming suddenly as a thief in the night and only the elect(truly saved) will hear his voice, whereas; other passages refer to him coming being in the open for the entire world to view! So to me it only makes sense that it is two events! |

12 | Do you know people in heaven? | Bible general Archive 1 | Goldengirl | 2929
I believe we will know all our family in heaven and I also believe whole-heartedly that my animals will also be with me in heaven! I know many disagree with that and it is their right too, just as it is my right to belive my way. Why would God create us and the animals to be together and interact if when we died and went to heaven we did not know anything about each other?! I also think we will NOT remember our lost loved ones.
13 | Should Benny throw the Holy Spirit? | 1 John 4:1 | Goldengirl | 2923
I agree entirely, the Holy Spirit enters a saved individual and remains in the person. I believe we may be more filled at some times than at other times, but I do not think that we must do any physical manifestations to show proof of the Spirit working within us! I certainly don't believe such behavior glorifies God!
