I don't think it says that in the bible.
2 | I'm writing a book, need to know | Mark 14:16 | GEORGEWBUSH | 48947
The only advice I can give on this is no guts no glory. My pastor says if the Bible is not clear on it then I can have my opinion just like everybody else. So I say write your book and if people are offended by your taking a few liberties they will probably miss the point anyway because you can actually nitpick something to death. Certainly we do know that the mother of Jesus was one of his disciples. God bless.

6 | Is this the substance of confession? | Matt 10:27 | GEORGEWBUSH | 48826
Jesus is drawing a difference between the old and new covenants. The thing that is hidden in the dark is the old covenant. Compare this verse to 2corinthians3. The old covenant was veiled and hidden from everyone including Gods chosen people. It was essentially in the dark or covered. Jesus was teaching the new covenent in a time where there was spiritual darkness. It is a promise and it's a promise that Jesus fulfilled on the day of pentacost and is still fulfilling to this very day because we have the great words and scriptures of the apostles.
7 | Book and verse in the bible | Matt 3:11 | GEORGEWBUSH | 48824
John baptised with water and all of the apostles did as well but only Jesus can baptise with the Holy ghost. I really don't think Jesus baptised anyone with water and there is scripture that backs up my assumption.
8 | Who is Molech? | Lev 20:2 | GEORGEWBUSH | 48820
Molech was the chief god of the Phonecians. Human sacrifices were offered up to this idol, the victims being slowly burnt to death in the arms of the idol, which were made of metal, hollow, and could be heated from the inside. Manasseh sacrificed his son to Molech. Solomon erected an alter to this god on one of the summits of Mt.Olivet(1Kings11:7). This idol worship being continued, both there and in Trophet, until Josiah abolished it and defiled the altars(2Kings23:32). His son Jehoahaz revived this worship. Molech was worshiped by the Phonecian colonies, as at Carthge, where htere were at one time sacrificed 200 boys, believing this would relieve the city from a siege.
9 | How much should we give? | Bible general Archive 1 | GEORGEWBUSH | 48789
Tithing is not a new covenant idea. Since the priesthood has been changed then there of a necessity has to be a change of the law(Heb7:12). Tithes under the old covenant were given to the high priest and for the upkeep of the temple. Under the new covenant Jesus is our high priest and we no longer have an earthly temple but a heavenly temple. So how can any man bind a tax(tithe) on any other man. Now here's where it gets tricky. You are not to blindly give your money to any man just because he says to; preacher or not. What you are to do under the new covenant is help your enemies and your friends. So guess what if your neighbor or your enemy needs help you help them. Any way that can be manifested including money-wise is acceptable. If you go to a church where there is a light bill it just makes sense to give a little something to help pay it. I can tell you that all day long but no one can bind a percentage or amount on you. I hope this helps. God bless
10 | What is the book of Joshua about? | Josh 23:14 | GEORGEWBUSH | 47420

11 | What is the book of Joshua about? | Josh 23:14 | GEORGEWBUSH | 47416
I think the book of Joshua is about the fullfillment of the promises of God to the Hebrews. Joshua dies at the end and just like Moses admonishes Israel to serve the Lord.
12 | Debbie What language did the they speak? | Bible general Archive 1 | GEORGEWBUSH | 47289
This is my opinion. Paul is really talking about two issues and bringing them together to make a point.Issue 1: praying in the Spirit 2: edification of the body. To edify means simply to build up. Praying in the Spirit does not edify the other members of the church if there is no understanding. Paul also says in 1Cor14:4 He who speaks in a toungue edifies himself. So in some way you edify yourself when you pray to God in toungues but you don't edify the other members of the church because there is no understanding. Now your mind is not edified but you don't always have to understand everything about a gift from God. Abraham didn't fully understand how God would accomplish everything He promised but that is where faith comes in. God bless
