1 | WHAT MADE LOT A RIGHTIOUS MAN? | Luke 8:13 | GBzones | 206416
But if we are so much like Lot then we excuse ourselves too much. For "if ye be Christs then are we Abarahams SEED.." Thus we are to follow Abraham not Lot! For as I pointed out He walked by SIGHT and not by faith. He was COUNTED rightous but how much of the righousness that had been IMPuTED to him was manifested? if the rightousness that was imputed to Him for Christ sake was then became imparted rightousness by the Holy Spirit then that rightous soul would have rebuked the wicked conversation and he wouldm have had the virtue to do so. For we are to "add to our faith virtue" Thus rightousness is imputed through faith in Jesus Christ. But to manifest that rightousness it has to be imparted by the Holy Ghost. To enable us to act rightously. You cant do this by walking by sight. I dont dispute that Lot got out.I said he was dragged out. meaning he was reluctant to go! Lot course went downward.albeit he was saved but only his soul.Look how much he lost. Abraham albeit made serios errors yet he learned from them and his course was always upward. A buisnes chart or graph goes up and down. But there is a trend either up or down. which way are we? I am not arguing for falling flat on our face and God mercyfully picking us up again. Albeit the scriptures say the rightous fall seven times but always gets up (i think) But the wicked fall and rise not up. Im saying that Jesus said that as in the days of Lot sO SHALL IT BE IN THE LAST DAYS or before the Son of man shall come. Now the general regard is to see the wicked and the sin of excees leaisure and bread. But that may comfort the church overmuch. Because there is a message for the church as well at ease in Zion and over fed. Which generaly speaking is walking by sight and not by faith that cometh by understanding the Word of God. Thus we are sleep walking almost anmd unaware of how late the hour is. Daniel by the scriptures percieved the hour in which he lived that the time for the deliverence of isreal was at hand. Well by the self same scriptures the time is at hand for the translation of the bride. But she is NOT ready!!!!!!!!! But she is like in the song of soloman too taken up with her adornments and the like and her groom is OUTSIDE knocking at the door\!]rev 2)? Lot is no person to follow it is ABRAHAM we should seek to emulate for we are ABRAHAMS SEED. not Lot. gerald |

2 | why the one when not the other | Gen 2:9 | GBzones | 206415
Thankyou for your answer.I was very carefull in the way I asked the question.I did not say they had eternal life.I said that they would not have died.I agree that they had the perfect liberty to eat of the tree of Life. Thus had the liberty to do good. But God gave them no liberty to do evil. Thus when men sin they come into bondage. I dont think they did not eat of the tree of life because they did not think of it but perchance that felt no need or were not hungry for it seeing that they had life already with no death. I do not beleive that had eternal life .I beleive they had life. I beleive there is an answer as to the why. Eve came to think as she did because she had not only accepted the words of the devil by the mouth of the serpent as to the bad character of God keeping good from them(so it is implied)by so doing opened the door to rejecting also Gods words by which she lived. For man shall not live by every tree that is good to eat but by every word that proceedeth from the mouth of God. By rejecting the truth as to what was good and what was evil. Her "understanding was darkened"and her perceptions were blinded as to the true nature of the tree. Thus she SAW that the tree was GOOD to eat and REASONED thus "It would make her wise" If they had ate of the tree of life after they had sinned then they wouod have lived for ever in rebellion against God and in sin. I dont believe they had a limited free will. what sort of liberty is that? Liberty surely is not to be able to do evil. God gave them the liberty that He had. You CAN resist iristable grace. For the grace of God came by Jesus Christ. "If I be lifted up I will draw ALL men unto me" When God said to Adam what was good to eat and what was evil to eat and gave them no liberty to do evil for in the day ye do ye shall surely die. he revealed HIS ETERNAL WILL that man should live and not die. Thus he sent Jesus into the world according to His eternal will .Thus to resist Gods will means you love death more than life. To resist the cross means you reject the Word of GOD THE BLOOD of Christ and the Will of God. What hope then is there for a man if he rejects the mercy of God ?There is but the wrath and judgement of God. Thus to resist the iristable you bring destruction upon your self. and seeing that we now have IREFUTABLE proof as to Gods will and goodness not withholding even His own Son.To thus deny the irefutable is to bring damnation upon your own head. God did not plan to rectyfy our mistake. But even from the begining had HIS WILL and from the moment He said "let there be light" That eteranl will and purpose has been progresievly unfolding even untill now and will do so even unto the end. You cannot worship God with a limited free will. But only in Spirit and in truth. Gerald |

3 | why the one when not the other | Gen 2:9 | GBzones | 206368
Thankyou for you answer. But I dont think you have understood the question. if they had NOT eaten of the tree of the knowldge of good and evil and that was Gods will then they would never had died. Why then a tree of life? that clearly in one way or the other gave eternal life for if they had ate of it then they would have lived for ever.for that is what the scriptures say. gerald |

4 | Why Were They Shut Out? | Matt 25:12 | GBzones | 206367
The scriptures say why. They were foolish! and not wise. Foolish in thier expectations. The church has changed this pasage to mean the saved and the unsaved and while in a very limited way it can be used as such. The primary message is to the church. A virgin is by any sense of the word a God given state. Paul In romans talking about the unsaved speaks a s one who is married to another.Yet speaking of the church as a chaste and espoused bride. In all truth then the 10 virgins speaks of saved and christians. They five were not lost they were foolish and not wise. Now in ALL other matters save one they were as the 5 wise. All had thier lamps lit.ALL were waiting for the groom.ALL fell asleep.ALL heard the cry.ALL got up.The foolishness was in that thier vessels were empty. Thus they had to go and get ready first. While the others had got themselves ready. Now when they had come back the door was closed(see at the river jordon exodus)and they were told "I KNOW you not" and were barred from the MARRIAGE. On the day of judgement The words are "I NEVER knew you"and they were barred from the KINGDOM. Thus the 5 foolish virgins were UNRECOGNISABLE as the BRIDE.and so were barred from the marriage. 5 | What did Jesus write on the ground | John 8:6 | GBzones | 206366
We should let the scriptures interprate scripture. I too have heard from some that he wrote thier sins before thier eyes in the dust. But this cannot be true. It is the devil who is the accuser of the bretheren. Not God(see Job)Therefore he accused NO ONE. Moreover He himself said I came not to condemn the world that the world through me might be saved. How can he then have condemned them and still kept true to his calling? You are right to consider the begining of the thing. But first consider the place. In the temple teaching. We could even go back further to the verse before the chapter. They all went back to thier homes.First verse next chapter has Him spending the time alone with God in the mountain. Sometimes we have to sacrafice our sleep to face the challenge of the coming day. Has any one seen the film 'The getaway' with steve Mcqueen. near the end of the film Slim pickens the driver of the van is faced with a dilema. and he crouches down and writes with a stick in the dust before he comes to a decision. he gave himself time to think. It is a natural thing that man does often in times of crisis. I do not beleieve though that the Lord doodled while he thought. First he wrote "with his finger" I can think of three other ocasions whern the finger of God is mentioned. Writing the ten commandments on the tablest of STONE. The finger of mans hand on the PLASTER at Belthezzars feast. The cry of the egyptians when they saw the demonstation of GODS POWER as recognising GODS finger in it. and jesus who said "If I by the finger of God do cast out devils know this the kingdom of God is come night unto thee" In all but one we are talkign about judgement. the One other are the tem commandemnts. The LAW. he wrote in the DUST. I do not presume to think what was on His mind.yet does not the Spirit of God know the mind of God? It says he wrote in the DUST. "God knows our frame we are but dust." "If God should mark iniquity who could stand?" Moreover no matter how deep the dust you probe dust is all you will find. I do not think that is far off the mark. But there is more to this. Why did He not answer? There are a number of times when he did not asnwer questions put to him. King Saul and hEROD FOR TWO. Its a terrible thing when God is no longer is striving with a man."For I will not always says the Lord" But there was also the seraphonecian women. The gentile .But that was to draw her out into and upon a more certain ground upon which to recieve that which he desired to give her. Consider then the place he was teaching in the temple. Did they wait for a proper time and ask respectfully for a moment? I dont think so.But charged right in and set her down in the midst as a spectacle. It is worth comparing Josephs thoughts concernING Mary. and these mens thoughts with this woman. I beleive that He gave them BOTH time. To consider WHY they were there and WHAT had brought them there. Even as a distinct possability is that he also gave Himself time to consider why he was there and from wence he came. Consider the woman. Caught in the act,Doomed! Yet not her lover! she must have been outraged with rightous indignation for a moment. But as she was dragged through the streets clothed for 'decencies' sake but probably not enough not to draw a crowd she would have begun to look for mercy and found none.By the time she was "put in the midst" she was as good as dead and looking at no one.But when she heard no answer even at the insistance of her accusers hope must have been born in her heart.and she began to THINK!To consider the hows and the wherefors. Here you could compare the theif on the cross who also was given time to think"! HOW HE HAD GOT there and where he had come from.He too came to the right conclusion and called Him Lord.So too did the woman. But seeing that the accusers still sought to be justyfied by the law he rose up and answered them according to the law .NOTE he accused NO ONE.For the law states that "the accusers must cast the first stone."But romans states that the law is to coinvict of sin not to make rightous. They then who sought to be justyfied by the law were answered by the law and thus convicted of sin in thier own hearts and went away. Thus jesus said "I am the light of the world" The woman got light the accusers went away into darkness. Grace and the LAW manifested to perfection. gerald |

6 | why the one when not the other | Not Specified | GBzones | 206362
Why was there a tree of life to which before they ate of the other tree they had free access to; but after they had none "less they LIVE FOREVER in thier sin" Because if they had not eaten of the other they would never had died. This is not a question of unbelief.Or sceptism. But rather to provoke thought. |

8 | How long did Adam and Eve live in Eden | Genesis | GBzones | 206360
It was not the tree of knowledge but the tree of the knowlegde of good and evil.A vast difference. They would never had died had they never eaten of that tree. Even as Jesus would never have died had he not given His life for the world. Your answer then for as long as they did not eat of it. gerald |

9 | How old is the earth scripturally? | Gen 1:1 | GBzones | 206359
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth" The confusion comes from the misdirection most versions give by putting heavenS instead of heaveN. Sowhen you ocme to gen 2 vse 1 which all say heavenS.You are misled to think that gen 2 and gen 1 are the same heaven. The EARTH was without form and void. Not HEAVEN. and from gen 1 vrse 2 The scriptures speak about the EARTH! Till it comes to the firmiment which was called HEAVEN! Thus there is a heaven of 'earth' and there is the HEAVEN where Gods throne is from which the devil was cast down by lightning. etc asnd which w epray as it were thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Moreover the scriptures say the "the foundations of the earth are established forever" So albeit an earth might eb destroyed andlaid waste in judgement(see jerimiah)or in a flood. The foundations are not moved. The age of the earth therefore is a lot longer than the age of man(6000 years aprox) Thus even as the waters covered the deep before the light. So it would seem the waters covered the deep after the flood. The evolutionists beleive a lie. and" so called science"(pauls words not mine)has bene forced to concede that all things began from one point. But their idea is of a balloon it seems (hot air?)going bang! Rather than an almighty God creating soemthing out of nothing. "Calling those things that are not as though they were." After the fist billion or so the mind goes fuzzy at the edges then the devil slips in . The question is not did God create it in six dasy is WHY He took so long? There are reasons then why He did so. and we should forget about trying to answer ignorant men who rerfuse to beleieve the truth.and who will not unless God shows them mercy. But rather seek god as to WHY he took 6 days . Now that is a better question! gerald |

10 | What is the best version of the Bible? | Bible general Archive 1 | GBzones | 206358
If you followed the 'argument' you might get more out of it than you think. If it starts with the truth and with each step speaks the truth you will inevitably arrive at the truth. What you do with it then is up to you. A wise man will consider it. and check with God and the scriptures wether it be true or not. Yours sincerely gerald |

11 | Who is the Bride of Christ? | Revelation | GBzones | 206357
In Hebrews 1 it is written "God who in sundry times and in divers ways spake by the prophets"Now we know in part and we prophecy in part"(eph)Thus as I said before where Jesus can be found in all the scriptures in types and shadows and in divers ways so to will you find the Bride for where Jesus is as it were you will find the Bride. Now one verse does not prove a truth or doctrin. But of God keeps repeating a pattern it is for our admonishing and learning. That we may recognise the substance .For a type will always fall short of the very substance of which it points too even as a shadow gives only an outline of that which it for tells. So the Bride of Christ can be recognised by all the types and shadows put togther. Thus were the children of Isreal were meant to recognise him but though "they boasted in the scriptures but knew not Him of whom they spake" The two on the road to Emaus after the resurection Jesus drew near "and begining at MOSES" showed them CHrist in all the scriptures. Jesus is called the" LAST ADAM"in that he is called the last Adam he therefore is likened unto the first. "The first a living soul the last a quickening Spirit" So Adam was given a bride a wife. But where did she come from? But out of the midst of his body. So therefore as Jesus is the last Adam so too will his bride be taken form the midst of His body. Alone it might be misconstrued. Isaac the son of promise that beyond doubt is a type of Christ.the SON Abraham without doubt a type of the Father. sought a BRIDE FOR HIM. HE sent His servant a type of the Holy Spirit to seek a bride. Not among the heathen but from among HIS BRETHEREN. Levi had no inheritence but was chosen from among all the tribes and whos inheritence was God. The twelve apostles also had a body seperated from them Peter James and John. Who saw the raising of the dead. the transfiguration and the were closer than all the rest in the garden of Gethsemane. In the mouth then of two witneses it is established. Both Moses and Joshua were already married to a gentile wife before they were revealed as it were to thier bretheren as thier saviour Ruth was a moabite banned or cursed for ever by God . Yet as she turned from her land and gods to your people are my people and your God is my God she eventuaLY married Boaz THE REDEEMER. I said more than you quoted so I guess I nee to ask what did you not understand rather from wence i came.. But I hope this helped. gerald |

12 | WHAT MADE LOT A RIGHTIOUS MAN? | Luke 8:13 | GBzones | 206356
Lot was counted rightous it is true. But not a man to emulate. For although his rightous soul was vexed by the filthy conversations of the wicked.he neither "reproved them" nor "came out from among them". Moreover how did he find himself there in the first place? By walking by SIGHT and not by faith. For he looked and SAW that the land was fruitfull and 'prospering'?and so chose that which was right in his own eyes. Abraham on the other hand walked by faith. If Lot had chosen that way he go the other if lot chose the other hed go that way. It matterd not to some extent as long as he walked with God and God was with him. The next time you hear of Lot he was captured WITH them. The next time he is living AMONG them. and while at the beginning he was as rich in the blessing of God as Abaraham,at then end he came out of it all, saving but his own soul having "suffered loss as through fire"(rev) It is Abraham we need therefore to emulate not Lot. For as it was in the days of lot so shall it be in the last days. Lot was unaware of the lateness of the hour nor what God was about to do. Abraham was not only no where near the conversations of the wicked he also was in a place where God could talk to him and tell him "what he was about to do" gerald |

13 | How do you then interpret the verses... | Luke 8:13 | GBzones | 206355
Predestination: I suppose depending on a mans 'school'of theology this is a stumbling block or a rock to throw at the 'other' camp. While predestination cannot be denied on biblical grounds "he has predestined us ...(eph) It would be better to have a more sure foundation for our understanding than an assertion of a fact and heralded up as some theological trophy to parade before our 'enemies' While what I say does not cover the whole subject it IS biblical and therefore a sure foundation for a mans thinking. So where do we start? As always to the beginning Genesis. For every seed bringeth forth fruit after its own kind. Those foolish people who object to gender in the scriptures forget it is the man who has the seed not the woman thus if every seed bringeth forth fruit after its own kind it is MAN......kind. Moreover they then get deeper into trouble by taking out FATHER.Forgetting that "unless a seed fall into the ground and die it abideth alone...." and that Jesus was the only begotten Son of the Father. Therefor it can be said without fear of contradiction that EVERY seed is PREDESTINED to the end that God has ordained for it. Wether it be the seed of the woman or the seed of the serpent. Or wether it be the seed of ADAM. Now w eknow by the scriptures that the first Adam was made a living soul and he lived not just by "every tree that was good to eat..."But also by the word thaT Proceded from the mouth of God aqs to what was GOOD to eat and what was EVIL to eat. and by that knowldge that was of God they lived. It was when they rejected that knowldge and did that which was right in thier own eyes that Adam corrupted himself and was made subject to sin and death. But seeign that we all were IN the first Adam (beign his seed) by one mans disobedience all were made also subject to sin and death. Thus all who are of the first Adams seed are PREDESTINED to return to the dust from wence they came. For we are born in sin and shapen in iniquity. But here is a wonder . Woman have no seed .But God willing to show that there would come a single "it" male "he" child born of a woman but not of Adams seed said the "seed of the woman..." Now we know from other scripture and that in genesis that God is a husbandman. For he planted a garden it says in genesis. Now are we not made in the image? Do we not know then as farmers or gardeners that what so ever a man soweth that shall he reap? is it beyond then the wit of man to think how much greater then does God know the end from the beginning? Moreover He also knows of what seed will bring forth what fruit. The seed of the woman and the seed of the serpent. Thus that "Word that proccedeth out of His mouth" shall not return unto HIm void but shall acomplish that where unto I sent it" Thus "if it does it bringeth froth much fruit" Is not the kingdom of God likened unto a man who went and sowed seed in his feild? or one that sowed the good seed in hsi feild and did nto while "men slept his enemy came and sowed another seed?" What comes from God goes to God. Thus there is the WORD of life and the word of death. Therefore man left to himse;lf is doomed and predestined to one end . Seeing that "every soul that sinneth it shall die" and the wages of sin is death" Therefor man of the first Adams seed is lost undone and without hope in this world predestined for a lost eternity. But the last Adam was made "a quickening Spirit" The WORD that was in the begining with God and was God made flesh put on the seed of abraham. and seeign that the seed is the Word of God. it wass sown in the feild of this world and in mens hearts. He too was predstined unto good works that he should walk in them.According to the scriptures. Therefore the calling is Gods for the dead do not live untill they hear his voice."He who has an ear let him hear" Thus when a man repents and recives the Word by the Spirit and is BORNagain he is translated from one predestined end to another. From corruptable seed to incorruptable seed. The call is to ALL to repent. For God is not willing that ANY should perish. Which message you believe then even as it was in the begining will determin what fruit you bear. and by thier fruits shall ye know them. Self leads to satan. and finaly it will be seen of soem that they are the seed of the serpent. while others of that seed of the woman. "But ask not who will go up for that is to bring christ down, nor say who will go down for that is to briong christ up.But what sayeth the scriptures?.............." Do not judge before the time. "I judge no one said jesus but My words will judge you at the last day." Of what seed then are we? "Sow therefore unto yourselves rightousness..." "For God is not mocked whatsoever a man soweth that shall he reap" |

14 | What is the best version of the Bible? | Bible general Archive 1 | GBzones | 206354
My ways are not your ways and my thoughts are higher than your thoughts. If the scriptures were inspired by God surely words are but expression of thought? Would it not be reasonable then to sugest that if soemthing claims to be the Word of God I would not expect it to be brought down to the way I express things (albeit the same language.)But rather those words that perfectly express the thoughts that are in Gods mind. For does not the scriptures say "be ye transformed by the renewal of your mind"? How can this then be done if the scriptures are brought down to the level of a carnal mind? But if we are to have the mind of Christ and every thought is to be brought into subjection to the mind of Christ. With all reasonableness I am not to subject the scriptures to MY thinking and way of thinking .But rather I am to bring my mind and thinking into conformity to the scriptures and the mind of God. Redability does not always give either lucidity or understanding. In truth it could be argued that a lawer is very exact and particular in his chose of words. Less if he is too loose with them he may well lose his client to the hangman or have his land stolen from under his nose by a crafty liar. Well I would argue that apart from much else besides the Bible is Gods LEGAL document as to what is HIS and what is NOT.Moreover what is a christians and what is not. Even to the devil what was his and what is and will be not not. Get too loose with words and you can make them mean anything to all men. I do not beleive that is Gods will.and it is not. Forgive me but 'FAIRLY accurate'!!! How can it be said or accepted to have a fairly accurate translation? Do you think that the hot line between the kremlin and washington had translators who would give a 'fairly accurate translation'of what the other was saying? I dont think so! Listen....... "Man shall not LIVE by bread alone but by EVERY Word that proceedeth from Gods mouth" if you LIFE depended on a translattion of a message would you settle for a 'fairly accurate' one? or would your neck be streched out and every muscle in your ear be vibrating seeking to get every nuance and phrase and tone and word that proccedeth from that mouth?Knowign that if you did not get the whole message if you got part of it worse you did not get the message at all but the one the interpretor THOUGHT was it; you would perish. I leave you myself and all to consider again on what criteria do you choose and what are you willing to settle for? and at what cost are you willing to "buy the truth"? |

15 | What is the best version of the Bible? | Bible general Archive 1 | GBzones | 206353
Although I have answered this to a similar post. I must 'answer' 'that best captures the intent of the original authors' You may well have not expressed yourself as you intended in your heart. But still the words speak then differently and must be answered.because albeit they might to you mean one thing (being expressed) to another as they are so written they convey completely something else. There is only ONE author of the scriptures. That is the Holy Spirit; God Himself. For He inspired them so to write even as was according to His mind. For "He knoweth the mind of God" From that springs no intent but a seed that has roots a stem and finally fruit. "For the Word of God is a seed" so sayeth the scriptures. We are by the scriptures to come "to know HIM who is from the beginning"(ijohn) The intent then is a none arrival nor for that matter a departure. "Not one jot or tittle shaLL pass away..."I understand that a jot and a tittle is the varios small markings denoitign this or that in the Hebrew script. If such little marks are important and not to be omitted or added how much more words verses and the like? I do not want mans thinking and interpretation of what thye percive was the authors intent.I want an accurate tranaslation of the original. That in no way dilutes, corrupts changes or in any other way changes the message "that proccedeth from His mouth" The understanding will come by HIM who so inspired them to so write according to the mind of God as I "lean not upon my own understanding....." but upon HIM "who leadeth us into all truth" It is an accurate translation you me or any man needs not another of mans interpretations of what they THINK God said. This whole sorry mess started with that idea with "hath God said" (gen) and we know where THAT came from and whe thus know also where it will lead! Most sincerely gerald |

16 | WHERE DID MAGI'S COME FROM? | Bible general Archive 1 | GBzones | 206351
The idea that there were three and that they came to the manger at bethlehem is based upon Francis of assisis I believe. But the scriptures tell it differently.(doesnt it always?) For herod asked them diligently when they first saw the star. They went to the CHILD at the HOUSE is what the scriptures say. Herod sent orders to kill every male born child TWO YEARS and under. With all reasonableness then from his carefull questioning of the magi it took them at least 18 MONTHS to travel to bethleham from the EAST. if not more and up to two years. Why three? it does not mention the number. It is presumbed because of the three gifts. It too doers not say how much.only how many. Moroever the WHOLE of jerusalem was troubled.Three magi would have been little noticed you might think in a great city astride such a trade route/s They traveled in a caravan and given the costly gifts a relatively BIG ONE! The question where from then is answered by where in the east would it take nearly two years to travel from? It is a possablity that it was China. Traveling down the silk route. The knowledge of God is self evident in all of creation(romans) Where ever they came from they were not only wise but had understanding also. Genesis speaks of times and seasons being known by th stars. But this was no comet or alignment of planets . Whatever the nature of the star. They knew what it meant and were commited enough to follow where so ever it LED them. thus by and by they came to know Him who not only was BORN king of the jews but also is the way the truth and the life. It is worth perhaps noting that it was gentile magi who proclaimed him king of the jews. at his birth. and it was a gentile pilate who also recognised and proclaimed him king of the jews also at his death. |

17 | What is the best version of the Bible? | Bible general Archive 1 | GBzones | 206349
What knoweth the things of man save the spirit that is in man?Likewise then what knoweth the things of God save the Spirit of God" "Who knoweth the mind of God" By what criteria do you or I or any body select a version or one verse or passage over another when they are different? WHY are they different? How is it with all the better understanding(so it is said) and the greater knowledge(it is said)that enables us to have more versions that with increasing knowledge(so it is said)these versions too are revised and updated; we do not have a better church? A HOLY people.? IN truth rev 2 says of that church which in its own eyes "is rich increased in goods and in need of nothing" "is poor wretched and BLIND" and in need of eye salve. It is worth noting that the last king of Isreal was made blind. The last Judge of Isreal was blind. How is it then having so much more understanding and knowldge and a mulititude of versions that the church is LESS than even at the reformation let alone the book of acts. I would argue there is soemthign wrong with the thinking or vision. My people perish for lack of vision for they have rejected knowledge says the scriptures. We are in great danger for as they have rejected me I will reject them. 'you' say "He will never leave me nor forsake me" True that is thank God if we are truly BORNagain. But so were the children of isreal 'saved' from Egypt. But how many enetered into the promise? for which they were "aprehended for"? Paul warns about "not enetering because of unbelief"Like unto them. Yet hold on! They not only did not believe God. They BELIEVED the wrong message! Now of a truth y6ou cant deny reality. But by what LIGHT did the 10 unfaithfull spies use to see the land? and by what light did the 2 faithfull witneses use to preach thier message? Then I must go back to the book of genesis and there see that the devil by the mouth of the serpent spoke concerning the word of God "hath God said"? AND ADDED just three letters N.O.T. to change the truth into a lie(romans) In the temptations of the Lord in the wildernes s I notice also that he used the scriptures to Tempt Christ but this time omitted scripture. To and for the same end. Now he was filled with the Word and the Spirit of God,So knew where the scriptures fitted and where they did not "rightly dividing the Word of truth" and not using it decietfully spoke the truth. and rebuked the devil and overcame him "for a season." My question then again is... by what criteria do you or any decide the truth? Let us be also wary here and VERY sober. because the heart of man of itself "is desperately wicked and decitfull above all others and who can know it.(no light there then) That Eve "LOOKED at the tree and SAW that it was good to eat" and her reasoning was "that it would make her wise" She was blinded by the lie and did that which was right in her own eyes. Saul of Tarsus had the 'original texts' more than any man alive to day in his hands. The greek 'aramaic and hebrew were his day to day speach.he sat under the greatest theological teacher of his day,Yet did he understand the scriptures? He so misunderstood the scriptures he persecuted the church and was agreeign to the death of Stephen as "Gods will"! The religios leaders "boasted in the scriptures but knew not Him of whom the spake" they too were blind on the day of the Lords visitation. They so did NOT understand they persecuted and commited him to crucyfixition. I ask again then . By WHAT criteria does any man choose a version over another or a passage or verse over another when they differ. For in many cases they do. The church is in a reverse reformation. and the idea that to know greek or Hebrew 'qualifies ' you to understand the scripture is clearly false. Moreover with so much confusion (is it denied?)There will soon be calls to only have 'qualified' men to teach the scriptures. Thus protestants? will have rejected the reformation and returned to the religios bondage of the Nicolaitins(rev 2) The children of isreal were not nor ever have been rejected by God.Yet they wandered in the wilderness till they all perished there. But consider this they had miracles every day! The fire by nigth and the cloud by day! Yet they were out of the will of God! They knew His acts it is written but knew not His ways. Joshua and Caleb had come to know His way and walked by faith in the true light of Gods reasoning and vision. You dont get that by pick and choose. But by "every word that proccedeth from the mouth of God" |

18 | Who is the Bride of Christ? | Revelation | GBzones | 206347
The Bride of Christ will be a select body taken from the midst of the general body. Even as Eve was taken from the body of the first Adam. As bride for Issac was taken from AMONG his brtheren. As Levi was taken from among the 12 twelve tribes. As Peter James and John were taken from the 12 apostles. She will be made up predominatly from the gentiles. Moses was already marrried to a gentile when he delivered isreal. Joseph was already married to a gentile bride when He revealed himself to his bretheren. Ruth a gentile married BOAZ the redeemer. She will "aprehend that for which she was aprehended for" She will suffer with Him. Be crucyfied with HIm Buried with Him and be where He is. Be of the same mind. The same heart. Same objectives Wholy sanctified. Body Soul Spirit. Looking for and hastening to the coming of the Lord. Fair as the morning Clear as the sun and terrible as an army with banners.(song of solomon) Be filled with the Holy Ghost. Full of faith and good works Her fruit will remain. She will be made conformable to His death, and know the power of his resurection. She will not be deceived. and will have no spot or wrinkle or any such thing. She will be like the moon seated with sun in heavenly places in her relationship with the sun. Having no light of her own she will shine in the darkness of this world till the morning come and be the witness of the sun shining.and seperate the light from the darkness. What she sees her Lord do that she will do also. For as the Father sent me so send I you. She will have got herself ready. She will be wise and not foollish. Neither be asleep or slothfull. Will go the extra mile and do more than is "reasonable" She is something special! |

19 | Best commentary on Revelation? | Revelation | GBzones | 206346
I was not so much comentating on this or that author. But rather on the prevailing practice of purporting to comment but never being authorative.I still hold that it is the truth we need not its 'meaning'which is much weaker. The scriptures never say we arrive at a meaning but at the truth! Then when we know the truth we are made free to act!or are "made free." There a multitude of 'meanings' (if you will) that people arrive at as to the end times the rapture, the millenium pre post etall. I cannot see by the scripture why there should be so much confusion.Seeing as I said "when the Holy Spirit shall come HE will LEAD us into all truth" I would contend therefore that there is confusion as to the truth ,what is the truth!? is there a rapture when is the rapture what is the millenium who si the bride etc. So I dont know what these authors have written. But if they say different things on what criteria do you ascertain the truth? If you say by the Holy Spirit but at the same time you seem to sugest that they too are so led.if they are differenet how can it be seeign that God is not divided in His mind and the Spirit of God knowetrh the mind of God. I must conclude then that not all therefore speak the truth if they differ from what the Spirit of truth would not agree with. Now another snare is that 'YOU' will decide which 'meaning' is true.To do that puts you in the place and leaning upon your own understanding rather than trusting HIM who leadeth us into all truth. Now thew scriptures clearly teach that if the Spirit of truth abides in "you then you have no need of any to teach you"Now some take that to mean that nobodys going to teach them! I have the Spirit! That clearly is error seeign that in Ephesians God has given to the church teachers! What then does it mean? or what is the truth.(See how sharper(truth) it is?)Simply that even as the Spirit of truth has witnesed to your spirit that you are a child of God (presuming that a person is biblicly BORNagain)then He the Spirit of truth speaks of what is Christs. Thus will always witness to the truth and never to that which is not. Thus a truly biblicly BORNagain child of God who is seekign first the kingdom of God and HIS rightousness will always have the witness of the Spirit as to the truth. Thus even though he may not no why something is NOT the truth he will eb checked in his spirit not to embrace it."Thus by practice we learn good from evil"So it proves the scripture "that they who are LED by the Spirit of God are the sons of God." Thus we are LED to under stand and come to know the truth. For we cannot know the truth as God means us to know it by any other means for "the carnal man/mind cannot recive the things of God."(1cor?) Your remark 'having not studied it at great length (ourselves?)how do we then say that those who have ..........have not arrived at the truth'begs the question in whom is your faith? In HIm who leadeth or men who teacheth? For; if of a truth, they who teach are in truth Led by HIM as they MUST be ,if they also are to arrive at the truth and teach it.They will LEAD you even as they were so led themselves. Read again the letters of Paul, expecilay to romans and Hebrews; They are 'argumnents'Which if you follow the 'argument' you will arrive at the same conclusions as Paul has done. That is his objective! Thus even as he was so taught so he teaches! if that is not enough then I must direct you to the Lord HImself (John 8 etc)who said the words that I speak are not my own words but the Father who is in me He doeth the works. Moreover as the Father taught me so .. What i see the Father doing that do I. How do we Lead men to Christ? By the same way God led us . How is it therefore there IS so many 'opinions' as to the meanings of scripture but very little "knowldge of the truth"? For of a truth if a man KNOWS the truth as God woudl have us know it then of a certainty we would speak with authority and not as the scribes. For if by the Spirit WE KNOW THE TRUTH then by the Spirit we can speak the truth even as it is known and it is He who doeth the work. I have no problems therefore with questions; a good question based upon belief and not contention or unbelief demands and always gets a good answer sooner or later. For if it springs from a sincere desire for more light God always gives it wether by your own private studies bretheren or by a flash of illumination in your meditations by the Holy Spirit. |

20 | Best commentary on Revelation? | Revelation | GBzones | 206309
The best commentary of the last book. The book of revalation is the first book;the book of Genesis. For everything that was sown has its fullfillment in the book of revalation. Thus to understand the last book you must get a good grasp of the first. For by thier fruits shall ye know them. But as we know every seed bringeth forth fruit after its own kind the fruit is predestined therefore by the seed that is sown. I would argue therefor that to have your thinking rooted in Genesis you will not be swayed by the senasational and latest 'revalations' that sweeps through the church. But being rooted and grounded in the truth might come to a knowledge of the truth concerning the book of revalation. For reading any amount of books is not the answer. For "if everything that jesus said and did had bene written down the world woudl not be able to contain them"(John) Therefore not everything that he DID do or say was written. But everything that was needed was and everything that was not needed was not. Thus the seed which is the Word of God has that property that it is not the tree from wence it came.Yet it has within it every thing that is needed to reproduce itself. Add to it and it will not.Take from it and it will not. But that seed to is predestined to bring forth fruit after its own kind. For in the begining you ahve the seed of the woman and the seed of the serpent. In the begining God commanded the light to shine in the darkness and then seperated the light from the darkness. Well he does not change so He was in the beginning So He is at the end and there too will He seperate the children of light from the children who loved darkness rather than the light. Which ever author you read or how many by what criteria will you judge who speaks the truth and who does not? For if 'you' are not led by HIM who leadeth into all truth concerning the scriptures why is it thought a man may well do so by another author? Thereofore I contend that in the mind of God there is no confusion. But rather even as He inspired John so to right accordignot the mind of God.The Spirit of truth is also needed to understand what is written according to the mind of God. There need be NO division or contention as to thew truth then. But only between those who love it and those who dont. For if eh will lead us into ALL truth. Then there is nothing outside of ALL . Therefore with a willing heart and in complete submission to God "leaning not upon our own understanding......" He will by degree lead us into all truth that we might come to know the truth and thus be made free. Gbzones |
